We were visiting family in Lochgoilhead, so I phoned in advance to see if we able to have a game. “Yes, we would accommodate non members at £15 per round “ was the cheery reply. “That’s fantastic news, can we hire clubs also ?” expectantly happy with myself. “ Yes we have a verity to choose from with a small deposit !” “ Ok, see you sometime next week “
I informed the rest of our fourball not to take their clubs on the 650 mile round journey, we can hire what we need.
Imagine the disbelief when I asked where were the left handed clubs.
To be shocked by the reply we don’t have any!! And I didn’t know you could play left handed!! Can’t you just hit it with the other clubs?
On this I shook my head, looked skyward, tutted and left.
THE HOME OF GOLF, as Jim Royale would so eloquently put it MY ARSE!!! I have to give it one star because it won’t allow a minus.
