Fantastic

I would give this course five stars, as it's fantastic. The greens are in great condition as are the fairways and bunkers. The reception staff are very friendly as are the caddy/course staff and the service is great. Each cart has two bottles of water an ice bucket and tees. There is also someone driving around selling cold drinks and snacks.
The golf course is a joy to play, some easier par 3 holes and some challenging par 4&5 holes with a mix of easier ones to give a feeling of being challenged and at the same time knowing that a par or birdie is possible in between even if it doesn't always work out that way.
The only reason for not giving 5 stars is at the moment there is still so much work being done around the course, building new villas that the noise of the diggers/cranes/ work men is so off putting at times that it isn't quite the relaxed quiet round of golf I would like.
I would recommend for the time being playing on Sundays and picking a start time when there aren't too many groups in front so you don't have to wait as much and can play at your own pace.
All in all, we played here 5 times and thoroughly enjoyed the course if not the waiting and the back ground noise, and I would definitely come again and can imagine that it will be prefect when the the building work has been completed.

July 9,2013 The best course that we have played so far (La Finca, Las Ramblas and Las Colinas). Friendly and professional service in the caddie master and in the restaurant. We highly recommend this course for golfers at any level.

A very special place

We played Las Colinas Golf & Country Club several times. For the first time in 2011 and thought that it was already very good. Every time we visit it is still improving. Where does this end?

It is a beautiful and quiet area where you are in nature, which is rare for a Spanish resort course. We really understand why the Q-school of the European tour chose this course twice already for its second stage.

The last visit we stayed in a villa and before that we rent an apartment. I really recommend the villas on the central hill with nice private gardens. If you are there reserve some extra time to do the Falconry excursion.

For sure we will go back in 2014. Together with El Valle and La Manga the best course of the region.

Superb fairways

We played in Las Collinas in Jan. 2012. The club house and facilities is modern and top notch. Driving range ball is included in green fees, you get a spot of driving range in the grass with balls prepared in pyramid. Very nice!

We have very much likes the golf course of Las collinas. The faiways and the parcour in general was in perfect condition despite the season with very dry and short fairways. Las collinas bring a fair challenge for all golfers.

The only negative comment i can make is regarding the long walk between the holes. We have walked 1.5X more than usual on golf course. Cart is recommanded.

Top golf course

Played here when the course first opened. Facilities fantasic and the course very challenging. Some fantastic holes with fast greens. Played the brabazon around the same time. This beats it hands down. Already booked to go back in january next year.

great corse

played here in feb this year what a great course going back there in may and we cant wait it is not for the average golfer but very enjoyable all the same a very tough test of golf but you have to take a buggy cause there are a few long walks in between some of the holes not to much water but long holes so it does not need water to make it challenging

Great golf course in the region

I would like to give two different reviews here. The urbanization is certainly unique in this region. We rented an apartment. This was large, technically perfect and equipped with 3 bedrooms, living dining area and terrace garden. There is nothing to complain about or criticize here. Everything worked out for us.

The golf course is not easy to play in January. Wind, sometimes cold and fast greens don't necessarily make the game result easy. In addition, the greens are not my thing. Fast is fine, but the balls also have to come to a stop. That's often not the case here these days, a three-putt played quickly. Hole 1 right at the beginning is the first challenge, then hole 2 is uphill, but after that it's over. I walk between 11 and 12 km per lap here.

The DR is well equipped. The DR balls (titleist) are good. You can evaluate your shots via monitors - for those who like this technology. The short game area is about 200m from the DR and is also sufficiently large. A period of approx. 40 minutes of practice is sufficient. If you want to practice more, you have to pay for the time.

This resort is altogether different and much more exclusive! You can also see this in the properties that were and are available for purchase here.

4 stars for December and January. From March onwards, definitely full marks.

Best Place

The place is top class in every respect. The infrastructure is new and up to date. Pro shop, restaurant etc are in perfect condition. The fairways as well as the greens are perfectly maintained and leave nothing to be desired. The greens are maintained and trimmed every morning (we could see it from our balcony)! The course can be easily managed on foot. At times you have to take longer routes to the next tee. The place is VERY well occupied and should be booked early. This top place has its price.

Solid investment

Played Nov. 2022 Once you have found the course (access was too much for the navigation system) you can expect a very good, well-maintained golf course. It is without a doubt the best course in the Alicante region.
He can't quite come close to the "big" facilities in Spain (Cataluna, Valderama, etc.).

Very nice facility

We played 4 courses in Costa Blanca in one week and this one had the most class. The reception was very friendly and the ambience of the complex exudes a touch of exclusivity. I found it a bit strange that you can only go to the practice facility 40 minutes before tee time, otherwise you would have to pay extra. But there are the range balls for free. The terrace is very nice and the quality of the food is very good. It's just a pity that you can only see the green of the 18 from here if you stand up and go forward.
The tracks have a very nice, challenging layout. The course is far easier to play for women. A good combination in our case, because the lady is in a good mood and the gent has his challenges. For the manageable green fee in the afternoon (low season), you should definitely play the course. You get a top performance in terms of equipment and maintenance condition and in a wonderful facility. You only have to be able to hide the construction noise from the adjacent buildings from time to time.

Smooth 6 stars... BUT

The 18 holes are without a doubt one of the best courses in Europe. The condition is top, the look of each hole is a dream, the place is very difficult but not unplayable. It remains to be seen whether high-handicappers will enjoy coming here.
Even the driveway through the extensive resort is impressive. Now the Aabers: "Thanks" to somewhat ambiguous signs, you eventually reach a stately building, but you can't tell whether it's a bank or the pro shop. When the exploration is complete, a near-perfect range awaits, with mat tees that can easily be fitted with any length of tee. If we hadn't seen it before, school should do it. Tee 1 is easy to find, from No. 2 it becomes confusing, since no particular importance is attached to signposting on the whole square. This is not relevant for many places, but here the access routes to very different holes overlap in such a way that someone who has lost their way always comes towards you. Not so bad if you drive a buggy, but many people walk this place and there are considerable differences in height and tw. extremely long connection paths are definitely a problem and damage the otherwise brilliant overall impression. Actually, in addition to new signs and a description of the hole at each tee (nil), a buggy should be included in the green fee. He, in turn, has installed an excellently functioning hole description that "pedestrians" simply lack. Very annoying are the constant, repeated at each hole and with "Pling!" accompanying cues to lean back his divots and mend pitch marks. Annoying and disruptive. Otherwise everything is great.

Great ambience, nice clubhouse and delicious food, very courteous staff! Is the green fee of EUR 90 worth it.

Dream Place

Troon Golf just knows how to do it!
A well-maintained golf course with a great design. On the range, the balls (top quality) lie nicely in pyramids.
The clubhouse and restaurant are also top notch.
If you are looking for something negative, then it is the construction sites next to the fairways. But who doesn't want to live here ;-)

Demanding and beautiful but unfortunately with a lot of construction

Played on 28.9.2019. The 18-hole course is located on the Costa Blanca a bit off the town of Orihuela Costa in the same name Las Colinas resort complex. Luxury villas are currently being built all around the square, which also has a lasting impact on the landscape with many cranes and construction activities. The best thing is to play on the weekend, then you have at least peace. The course is designed varied and there are doglegs and some height differences to deal with. Therefore, a cart is recommended, also because of one or the other longer way to the next tee. Reserve the cart in advance! Since most fairways are open, higher HC should come here and have fun. The condition was good. Unfortunately, almost all bunkers were not playable, as rinsed by the previous storm in the region. In the Proshop we were served friendly and the starter / marshal was also ok. The first nine we played without Cart and then got on the backnine but still a Cart (without GPS). The game operation was lively. On the backnine it came despite a late start time at 15:30 clock to wait. Start times can be booked online via the homepage, we have paid a reasonable 60 € per person for the round. All in all, a decent place with an attractive design, if only the construction sites were not!

Real tip!

We, Hcp 10 & 16, played here in July 2019. Buggy is recommended. Secretariat was very nice. Were immediately pointed to sent greens and fairways, reduced GreenFee.
Not easy to play. Every single track is a challenge, sometimes a bit hilly, well defended by greens. Due to the space work, especially the greens took a bit of getting used to, but all in all it was a lot of fun.
Can I only recommend and I would like to play again in any case, without sand on the greens.

Worth a visit

We played the course in early June and were very impressed by the design of the holes. The fairways and the tees were well maintained and the greens were fast and consistent. Unfortunately, the busy construction activity with the many cranes on the second 9 holes spoils the ultimate golfing experience. If you are in the area, you should play the course!

Unfortunately, a little bit less

We played the course for the second time this year and unfortunately we were disappointed. First of all, the positive: Yes, the design is a particularly well-designed place, embedded in a fantastic natural setting. The greens are fast and sprint and the fairways for late summer really good. What is an indictment, however, are the age-old range balls on the driving range, which are almost invisible as Taylormade balls. The green fee prices have strongly attracted and similar places in the area, such as Lo Romero, Las Ramblas or Villamartin plays much cheaper. In addition, the whole place is currently a construction site, because on Las Colinas a villa / apartment building after another emerges and the construction noise and the construction cranes the once so idyllic impression already very much diminish. Unfortunately, we were not informed in the secretariat that the discounts were sent and the men had to play partly from the women's discounts. Would not be a big problem in itself, the green fee player should still be pointed out. The terrace is lovely, but more attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the toilets...
Conclusion: A still very nice golfing experience with potential upwards

Definitely games

We played an 18 hole round in July 2018.
The place is hilly but not unfair. The layout is varied. On the fairways are a lot of bunkers. Par 3 require slightly more length. Blows that miss the fairways can be found despite the hilly course again.
You have to take some money in the hand (2GF & buggy € 160), but the place is great.
Quality (1 Excellent, 2 Good, 3 Satisfying, 4 Well, 5 Too bad about time and money):
Deductions 1
Fairways 1
Greens 1
Conclusion: Great place must have played times.
The driving range includes pyramid-stacked range balls and chilled drinks on the buggy.
Showers were top, and clubhouse are well stocked.
Cart - absolutely recommended.

Advisable

Played in the last year and this year, top fairways and greens, varied tracks, unfortunately, only a little sand in the bunkers, so only 4 stars. Also for sporty necessarily with buggy otherwise one runs only afterwards. If you are not afraid of € 90 green fee and in the area should definitely play the place! Clubhouse top.

Great Place

Whether it is indeed the "most beautiful golf course in Spain in 2016," I can not judge. It is clear that this place is a MUST if you're a golfer nearby.

He is varied, fast and demanding - as it should be.
Landscaped a highlight and the gastronomy is impressive.

If you play

An excellent golf course, played on 03/17/17. Both the location and the care are worth noting. Is run between and drive buggy at the border. Diversified empire, fast greens.
One of the few places in the area have at this time truly green fairways. Super clubhouse.

We have the place all around the Christmas holidays 3x + played a Full Day Coaching and still love it. It was expected to be very quiet at this time

The place was unrivaled in excellent condition, the service and the friendliness of the staff.

Very varied course, perfect setting round (Practice Area) and the interactive GPS Yardage Book in Cart - because everything is just right.

To be noted also that the apartments are in the golf resort perfect for a shorter or longer stay on site.

At any time gladly again!

Just beautiful

The view from the terrace on the 18TE green is very nice. The space is somewhat more expensive, is seen in the clientele, the rest of the game and skill of the players. The fairways vary between narrow and wide. The bunkers are huge part. The greens are because of their elevated position not easy to play. The fairways are undulating. A highlight is certainly the looks from the tee into the valley. Although the site has very little trees, a strategic game is necessary. The beverage cart is always within reach. Due to the length of the holes are long hitters with more than 230 meter markdowns sure advantage. That you can not refuse its exercise balls until 20 minutes before tee time does not quite fit the label 10 minutes before tee time to wait on the tee. 200ml water are in the buggy, because some ice would be in the box just the icing on the cake! All in all a special place in the collection should not be missing.

Golf holidays on the Costa Blanca

Has its own roundabout on the main road with a impossanten driveway. The club house is very great Furnished and has a very good Restaurante. A very nice spacious place. Wide fairways with plenty of space for the drive. Buggy is also recommended for younger. The greens and tees are maintained. The site is still young and not as grown trees. The houses are not built by having the width of the space. One of the most beautiful places until now.
