A Beautiful Classic Nicklaus Course

I have played this course 4 times now and each time Jack gets the best of me. The holes are challenging, beautiful and playable. La Loma sits in a hill overlooking San Luis Pototsi and the front 9 gives you panoramic views of the city. Every hole is a unique and different challenge and you will likely use very club in your bag, and probably wish you had more shots in your bag than you do. There are significant recirculating streams on the course adding to the beauty and challenge of the course. Frequent elevation changes add interest and challenge.

The course is in immaculate condition and the staff very courteous. One needs the caddies to help you read the greens. Cost is high to the American taste, between $80 and $110 depending on the exchange rate, and you will need to tip your caddie around $300 to $400 pesos. But, ultimately I think the cost is worth it. The course is so much better than Campestri, your other choice in San Luis Potosi.

I wish La Loma would offer a monthly golf only membership, but as of this date no such option is offered.
