Characteristics

The NEW Links Course, has one of the best views of the entire municipality of San Roque over the Mediterranean and is the only Links-style course in southern Spain. It has 18 holes par 72, and it was opened in 1992; nowadays, has been recently redesigned by Kurtis Bowman and is now a modern golf course sustainable. The renovation of the NEW Links has meant the reconstruction of all the tees, complex of greens and bunkers, redesign of a series of holes, housing one of the largest greens in surface in Spain. It is a challenging course, with unique views, and with a quality in its route at the level of the best courses in Europe. It is made up of wide fairways, double greens, large bunkers strategically located and gentle slopes that descend towards the sea, ending in a beautiful beach, creating a front of almost 2 km so that a large part of its holes border the beach. The new course has opened up even more to the sea and has one of the best views of the entire Costa del Sol over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa, which can be appreciated from all its greens.

The second golf course of this resort, the Heathland Course, also consists of 18 holes par 72, designed by the prestigious former Ryder Cup player and author of numerous internationally renowned layouts, Dave Thomas. This course offers a variety of natural landscapes ranging from an area of plateaus where the course resembles a "heathland" type course, with wide fairways and exceptional views of the Mediterranean, to the area of the valley where the holes wind along it and incorporate various obstacles of water.

The Driving Range has also been redesigned and has a series of target greens to different distances, bunkers and a natural grass tee line capable of accommodating large groups, as well as a short game area with several holes in the back area, ideal for those who are starting to Golf.

Two different courses

Links is very nice course with many beautifull views to sea and The Rock of Gibraltar. Good maintained. Only problem is flight timing. At morning there was four flights at the same time. But its probably problem of players.
Heathland is significantly worse mainained. Is also very hard to play especially without buggy.

Left 4*

I played the Links Course in mid-March 2026 at a wind speed of 51 km/h, approximately 7 Beaufort, with wind from the sea (hcp 17.1).
With this wind, it's a completely different place, e.g. hole 11 directly overlooking the sea.
Despite previous heavy rainfall, the course was in good playing condition; the fairways are naturally quite short, and the greens were in excellent condition.
The layout of the square is simply stunning. Beautiful.
For some time now, there has been a small restaurant at the halfway point with a view of the sea.
The staff are super friendly and accommodating.
I'll definitely come back.

Links 4*, Heathland 2*

We've known both courses for years and are increasingly disappointed. Specifically: The links course was one of the most beautiful on the Costa del Sol for us – a fantastic layout, well-maintained, in a wonderful setting with Gibraltar in the background and an open links landscape inland. The latter is now costing it its fifth star: whoever approved the development of the links area in this excessive form, without any regard for nature, should be ashamed. Now some tee boxes are right next to the fences of the apartment buildings.
Even more frustrating is Heathland: already the poorly maintained course, somewhat neglected and with a significantly weaker layout, it's also undergoing such insane construction that all you see around the entire course are huge construction sites. Simply hideous and, above all, a shame, because this course also has a lot of potential.
And in terms of price, at least the left-hand course plays in the top league.
The only things that deserve praise are the nice clubhouse and the good food.
