KILLEEN GOLF COURSE
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 2, 2022
The Killeen and O'Mahony's point golf courses are breath taking and have so much to offer both the amateur and professional golfer.
There is swathes of untapped potential for extra development with both of these fantastic courses.
Some holes are adorned with majestic Oak trees and surrounded by green shrubs and foliage.
Some greens are unforgiving, but most of them are not too challenging.
The rough in some areas needs some extra attention and some house keeping, but the main fairways are well kept and are reasonably forgiving.
I would have to make one recommendation though, and that is a huge improvement in the signage for each Tee off hole.
Navigating the course from some tees was very confusing and little, or no signage was clearly visible to us as we progresssed through the course.
A magnificent golf course in many respects, but with an extra touch of House keeping on the finer aspects would be most welcome!

9 holes, Lackabane Course
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed March 18, 2019
Uncomplicated, very hospitable. I stopped by the championship course: beautiful, mercilessly many obstacles and time-honored trees. Something for the hard-core with high ambition. Nice price of 130 € Monday morning. And always well booked.
So I asked, how it looks with 9 - holes and a little easier, took a loan with equipment for free, am 400m further and found it not sloppy, just joined me on a flight.
Any time.
However, on the side, Lackabane Course, which also belongs to the club, no entertainment and in the clubhouse you have to change at least the shoes, but especially to reserve.

Kilkee Course recommended

Very well maintained course with varied fairways and fast greens. Old trees on the right and left of the fairways. Around the greens many bunkers. Many fairways right on the lake. Great view of the lake and mountains.

Long, interesting place!
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 17, 2017
Unfortunately around the season a bit damp, for which the club but nothing. Faithful and relatively fast greens. Good condition, not too spectacular holes. But the overall package is convincing. Good special offers. From the rear tees a real test!

Lackabane Course - Neat course
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 20, 2017
The Lackabane -Course, a 9 hole course with par 36, offers a very decent value for only 15 euros for 9 holes. The place is on the other side of the road, has a quite appealing design with only one water barrier at Bahn 1. The condition of the fairways and greens were appealing. While the two big pitches despite the much more expensive Greenfees were rappelvoll, we could play on the Lackabane Course almost alone. Recommended.

Impressive place with excellent panoramic
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 8, 2017
Great reception in the clubhouse, very friendly and very professional!
The very fair place is super panorama of fenced by a high mountains over a giant lake. The place is to play well, the greens sometimes very demanding.
Course condition is great. Flow of the game very well organized.
Carts, trolleys and electric trolleys extensively available.
All over the place there flourished in early May.
After the round, you can enjoy concludes with a Guinness and a tasty meal on the restaurant's terrace or in the restaurant the breathtaking panorama.
Price-performance ratio is good.
Here I would always play again!

Killarney Killeen
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 19, 2014
Clubs such as these have the charm in the big world of golf to his home. When multiple host the Irish Open, among other things, with winners such as Rory McIlroy, have the plaques - in the huge clubhouse - names that would not compete on other places. And yet the whole thing looks natural and not entirely set on. Friendly, well organized, professional, with very reasonable gastronomy, is that correct package. A delight the eye or the beer on the terrace outside or in the bar after the round on the first floor of the building! (See Fig.).
Golf: perfect parkland course, some huge, precise but difficult greens, some challenging fairways. Master Course halt...! Nevertheless, relaxed and Marshall, - feature (!) - Tame fallow deer that ever crosses the fairway at the Drive.
Typical of Ireland, the partly incomplete train identification and removal details (if so, then here but metric). A place of formally asking for further rounds and then also allows for good scores.

In this traditional club very friendly and uncomplicated reception. Place in July 2014 in very good condition. Master Course are constantly on the move, but very cool - no stress. Organization of tee times very good. Location and nature are impressive. Place sporty fair. Worth it.
