Due to some reviews we were unsure whether we wanted to play the golf course, but then at the end of October we experienced a super nice place with nice weather, completely green fairways and greens, the latter unfortunately with a considerable number of pitch marks. The complex is a scenic highlight with individual views of the Rhine.

I looked at some reviews and also believe that the Jakobsberg golf course can be a nice place under normal conditions. However, we have met a place that defies description. We didn't see a golf course on 08/28/2022, but a steppe. Believe me, there was no green blade of grass to be seen, only the tees and greens were similar to what you would expect. Due to the high altitude and the hot summer of 2022, the facility resembles a concrete desert with steppe grass. The additional, but interesting hillside location of some lanes, however, made it difficult to find balls that had been hit excellently, because no ball was found right away where it was supposed to be. I found it more than outrageous that a guest was not informed of the poor condition and the full green fee of €75 was still charged. THE GOLF COURSE IS CURRENTLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!! It could change as irrigation is currently being built and will be operational in 2023. Maybe I'll be around again and can revise my current information. There are few real water hazards and the existing bunkers can be taken out of the game quite well. A real challenge are the tees on lanes 3 and 6 where you should have a certain carrylength over biotopes. What was also not nice are the tee boxes, which were often very weathered and sometimes barely legible and sometimes even missing. The peace and nature is positive, we even saw deer on the grounds. Due to the lockdown, we could not inspect the clubhouse in full splendor, but the staff in the pros shop and at the golf reception were very friendly and helpful. After the round you could buy a brat or curry sausage for takeaway. There were vending machines at tees 1 and 10.
