A nice track that was just sold to the Metro-Parks! Plans are for it to stay open unlike the last 3 courses purchased by Metro-Parks (Acacia, Astrohurst & Hawthorn Valley) all are being preserved back to original lay of land with many new walking trails & bike paths, fishing ponds etc. Ironwood wood will be great addition to the “Emerald Necklace” of Metro -Parks only 3 par 5’s both on shorter side par 3’s are ok two short ones need something #1 a longer par 4 plays All Down hill a fun opener,#5 a par 4 long elevated green is #1 handicap #8 a straight forward par 4 is a nice chsllenge back 9 holes # 13,14,15 are all par 4’s on shorter side BUT very tricky a creeck plays thru all 3 & some very tight approach dhots to greens! Conditions where always nice in past but ive heard fairways & T need some work lets hipe Metro-Park Team can work magic on this track.
