Extremely messy design

First of all thanks to Howth golf staff. Very kind and helpfull.
Corse design: went there for the first time by end of July 2024. I found a larg number of holes are overlapping others and getting dangerous any shot; many tees are exactly in front of the green of other holes got the round weird and not relaxed. Some greens are too high over the veiw of coming players and the related shots are “random” for precision.
Maintenance: everything was perfect. Fairways, greens, bunkers in perfect conditiins ans care.
One more nasty thing: i went by buggy. All the course ground is “corrugated” getting to thebpalyers on buggy a drmatic experience of jumping really nasty.

I played on Friday 6th July at 9am.
Staff were so welcoming and helpful.
Got a set of TaylorMade M4 clubs to rent!!!
The golf course was fab, the golf was great and I enjoyed every minute of it.
I would fully recommend Howth to anyone Michael.

Beautiful golf course, great views of the sea, mountains and Dublin. Came straight from the airport which only took 20 minutes. We really enjoyed it today.

Place offers beautiful views and it's a constant uphill - downhill. You get a handout without which you probably wouldn't be able to find your way around the square, because the tracks cross and that makes things quite difficult. But we had the impression that the players are very considerate towards each other and at no time did we feel that we were in any danger. Still, it's strange/weird when you tee off and play straight over another green, which has happened twice. We can only warmly recommend the place.

08/30/2019. Hcp 4 and 16: Should be a must for Dublin golfers. Directions to the peninsula along the beautiful water in a sophisticated residential area. Some tracks intersect, tees over Visually, a treat through the views of Dublin, the harbor and Portmarnock direction, bordered in violet and yellow flowering heather plant., Basically good tracks, sometimes long haircuts needed to get over the scrubby. So, not quite the expected highlight, but if the greens are ok, then always worth the play, then to the fish port of Howth to fresh fish, tapas and Guinness.
