Hooge Graven Ommen GC is a very beautiful forest-heathland course. Holes 1&2 and 8-18 run through heathland and some very tall old pine forests, this is how you imagine golf in Holland! Holes 3-7 are also nice to play, but are in open terrain and lack the flair of the other holes.
The course is great, but doesn't quite measure up to the Edel Heathland Course (eg de Pan, Hilversum, Eindhoven, Rosendalsche, Nunspet) in Holland! But it's a guaranteed 4-star course in the far east of Holland, and the best course in that region!

Very well maintained tees, fairways and greens make for your pleasure. 13 of the 18 holes run well delimited from one another in the forest and require placed strokes. Almost all tracks are flat and straight. yield on the three doglegs after a well taken tee attractive new prospects. Not included in the assessment, but worth mentioning are the friendly welcome and good food.

For the first time in Hooge Graven played. Predominantly a wooded course with 5 different holes in more open area.
There are quite a few fairly narrow fairways, where a slice is immediately punished. If you have more problems there, the driver let in the bag! The track has a length of yellow from nearly 6 km. There is little water in the game, bunkers and waste land all the more.
The clubhouse is well cared for and there is a lovely terrace with brisk.
