Very nice course

I would like to join first of all. The tee boards are not traditional but outdated. On the other hand: Get an App! Otherwise: What a great place! Hilly to mountainous and within sight (from the terrace) of Hamburg.

Great condition, fairways top, greens too. Only the bunkers really have too little sand and too many stones.

And the "map" in the clubhouse is really a disappointment. Even if the currywurst is delicious. Nevertheless: The gastronomy really only deserves very few stars.

However, it was so much fun playing that we will definitely be back!

Leading golf? Disappointing…

Played early June 2023, HCP 14

So that there is no misunderstanding - of course "Hittfeld" is not really a bad place. The layout of the fairways is varied, although the dominant element is the narrowness of the fairways caused by the forest. It is largely wonderfully quiet (only rarely does a larger plane fly high over the site), the facility is scenically very beautiful, the lanes run uphill / downhill through the old forest.

Because of this "mountain landscape" we recommend a cart to all those who don't like it particularly strenuous. And that brings us to the "bad" criticism.

The carts are a bit old. They do not have any extras (ball washer, cool box, etc. and above all: NO GPS) and the condition leaves a lot to be desired. The parking brake of the specimen given to us jumped out again and again and the vehicle set off on its own. Annoying and not entirely harmless.

The condition of the place is similarly poor. The fairways are full of brown and bare spots - certainly partly due to the weather, but such problems were not observed to such an extent on other courses in the area in the same week. The poor condition of the bunkers certainly has nothing to do with the weather. Inconsistently dense sand, repeatedly interspersed with stones of all shapes and sizes - from pebbles to hand axes, everything is included... Only the greens can still be certified as being in acceptable condition.

The tee boards are also “poor”. Really nice in "old" wood look, but without any useful information (distance to obstacles, location of the following tee, etc.) that go beyond lane number, par, length and specification. Speaking of obstacles - they are mostly bunkers and trees - water comes into play at most twice and only "laterally", you can easily play "around it".

Big disappointment after the round. The "gastronomy" currently has no menu - but the very nice waitress knows the dishes on offer by heart - all FOUR (there are only snacks - salad with chicken, currywurst with fries, boulette with potato salad, baked potatoes with salmon - if I remember correctly...).

Sorry - overall this is absolutely disappointing for a "Leading Golf Course". "Leading" here (despite all the shortcomings) is currently only the green fee of regular EURO 90 (weekdays), plus 40, - for the decrepit cart.

Conclusion: The risk of repetition is definitely NOT given given the current price/performance ratio. I would be happy to read reviews that report clear improvements in the future... then try again. Currently just 3 stars because of the quiet location and the beautiful forest. (In the "Golf Bear Ranking": 5 out of 10 points.)

It was fun

Hilly place in the far north? I would not have thought that.
System is very well-kept including DR, great trees.

Leading facility - it's fun here

A very demanding facility with all the golfing needs - water, clean greens, bunkers, up and down. Very good reception and a kitchen that complete the overall package. keep it up...

Despite continuous rain

This place is worth its money. Beautifully situated and fairly built. It was raining, only a few players were on the pitch, and yet they gave us the feeling that they were there for us. We got coffee, although the beautiful restaurant was not open yet. A great offer after the 10 hole in a small cottage on the square: bouletten, potato salad, cake, coffee, drinks; a great choice. That's exactly what we needed after 10 laps in the rain. An extensive selection in the beautiful restaurant, great ambience and real prices. We will be back.

Great golfing experience in the north

We have played the place in August 2017 with a green fee reduction of the Lindtner hotel.
The course is wonderfully embedded in the hilly landscape in the south of Hamburg and offers varied holes and always great views and outlines of the neighboring holes and the landscape.
The first 9 holes are somewhat narrower through the dense and old trees.
The second 9 holes are a bit more open, so that sometimes one or the other error will distort.
The exercise possibilities are generous and the relatively new, modern driving range makes a perfect impression.

The clubhouse is located in an elevated position on a hill and offers a great distance and a view over the holes 17 and 18, which can be seen from here completely.

The state of care was exemplary and offered no grounds for criticism.

Conclusion: Absolutely play and then in the clubhouse or on the terrace end the day.

139 meters of altitude in Hamburg

An extremely well-kept parkland course, which is characterized by its wonderful embedded in the hilly landscape. Absolute peace, challenging fairways, fast, faithful greens, a beautiful clubhouse terrace and excellent food. You might want to after the round even the club's own forest pool. What more do you want?

A really nice place!

The one point deduction there only because the real gezalzenen green fee of 70 EUR during the week.
Who is expecting a flat place in the north be amazed at how hilly is the place. He is well grown and in very good condition care.
The beautiful terrace at the clubhouse offers a beautiful view and invites you to linger.
I would come again and recommend the place.

Quality meets sporting challenge

The Seal "Leading" is entitled here. Despite the proximity to the A7 but hilly course (cart for not quite as sporty is recommended) is situated in the tranquility of nature. The Parkland design, sophisticated and care of state perfectly. Little water, but well-placed bunkers. It never gets boring. As a guest you will be served in a friendly at the Secretariat. The green fee is 70, - € (incidentally, also on weekends) safely at the top level but worth it. Who is playing in the late afternoon may possibly for half the round, at least it was in my case, without me asking. A little confusing for guests at the first visit is the parking situation. There are places down at the driving range and then the road to the fine clubhouse high and then behind it. You have to know.

Necessarily play!

There was only the 70 € (a week!) To complain overestimated green fee, otherwise it would have been 5 stars...
A very well maintained course with some narrow fairways, which are lined with old trees. Usually very straightforward trajectory and a little water.
You can run it well, given the very hilly landscape is a certain level of fitness but a requirement.
Two tracks are a bit strange: a 197 m long par 3 of 154 uphill and downhill. Here the particle is very difficult...
The Secretariat, which operate in the catering and the members that I met were all very friendly. You feel welcomed.
On the beautiful terrace overlooking the tee and the green of the 17 18 you can enjoy the excellent cuisine. This is true value for money.
One should not play golf in and around Hamburg, without having seen this place!

Dream Place

Really fantastically beautiful and well-kept place. Partial something very hilly and apparently happily little frequented.

Dream landscape plant in peak

The place is really recommended! Beautifully nestled in a hilly landscape - playful without question demanding, but also very fair.

The whole atmosphere of the reception to the food after the round makes a great impression. The clubhouse is an old villa with a terrace wrong with a distant view of the golf course and the surrounding area. There is also a swimming pool (for guests green fee) - perfect after a round in the heat.

Despite produces average result, I had a great day, the place is worth every penny!
