This course located in Swedens golfcapital the city of Halmstad, are top ranked for years. Known for 2007 Solheim Cup and 1985 and 2011 European Team Amateur Shampionship played at North Course. You just cant get it better than this. Personly I liked the narrower south course to suit my game. If you are in the area, do not dare to miss any of those two courses.

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception and in the golf shop.
It is a wooded course, the fairways are very wide and well maintained, some of them very long distances. After the first 9 holes there is a break of about 9 minutes before moving on to the second, slightly more challenging and also very beautiful holes.

Today we played the north course that we had previously reserved in Germany. What was amazing here was that the green fee had to be paid in advance and a chargeback would only be made if you canceled up to 3 days in advance. Questionable business practice, but with the Vita you can probably afford it. We were lucky when we arrived and were able to get one of the last parking spaces, as the parking spaces were occupied by beach visitors. Lunch in the clubhouse was sensationally delicious. Now to the course: The north course is more of a forest course with wide fairways. After 2 holes played, a road had to be crossed. This turned out to be extremely difficult, since convoys drove both to the beach and back from the beach and there was no pedestrian crossing. But there was significant traffic noise on many tracks of the north course.
As for the place itself, it can be said that the haircuts (as apparently common in Sweden) were shot up. There were sometimes many divots on the fairways. Otherwise the course is good to play and there are some really nice holes (e.g. 12 and 16). On the other hand, the shower with the charm of a district league club was annoying.
Conclusion: With this course you pay at least 600 crowns for the name. So you can ask yourself if it's worth it.

North course deserves to be Sweden's highest ranked path. The track played in a fantastic and varied environment next to the Kattegat and Tylösand Beach. The finish is as always fabulous with international standards. This is also true for South course.
