Short and bizarre

A very short course which has been poorly designed. There are some long walks between green and next tee. The 17th is a very pretty par 3 to an island green. When you couple the shortness and poor design with sloppy maintenance and the bizarre ideas of what the owner thinks is a suitable test of golf then it's probably wise to give this place a miss.
Practice facilities are just about passable although there is no green to hit anything more than a 30 metre pitch to. There are two practice putting greens, both in reasonable condition. The driving range seems to discourage using the grass and the "target area" is virtually unsighted from the tee mats. The ball supply is not exactly generous for the €2 cost per bucket. It even costs €1 to use a hose to clean your trolley after a round.
The food in the restaurant is very average.
Reception staff are welcoming and efficient. There are many far better course in the area to play before you have to try to this one.

The location is actually in beautiful surroundings and easy to reach from Hamburg. But that's actually all that can be rated positively. Relatively indifferent, sometimes grossly unfriendly staff and a poorly maintained and designed facility with members who fit well into the "wild west", characterize the overall picture.

On August 29, I played nine holes here and here's my summary:

At the first tee-off at 17:30 o'clock we started. On the first track was still a four-flight on the green and so we waited, so far so good. Shortly after the tee on the third track, a flight of two ladies (No.1: shirt, trousers and bag in white and no. 2 pink trousers, black top and screaming orange bag) find themselves nagging. My request to the local staff to talk to the ladies was answered with the advice to let the jammers play through. I do not even see a bad behavior to reward.
The place was for the little rain in the last days or weeks in a surprisingly good condition. Unfortunately, many of the bunkers had footprints and the greens were strewn with pitch marks. This fits in with the already described poor behavior of the natives.

We were welcomed very warmly. Only had time for 9 holes and were the back nine play. Behind us no one has been started and we could enjoy our game to the fullest. The place was very well maintained and the greens looked as if none draufspielt: dry, flat and not even pitch marks were visible. No street noise, many domestic animals such as deer, rabbits, pheasants, etc. are met. Overall, a great round.
Then we were treated very nice in the restaurant. The food and drinks were good as was the price / performance ratio.
