Versatile golf course

We played holes 1-9 of the championship course at the end of April 2025 in pleasant temperatures. The holiday region in the heath offers interesting activities, especially for families. Consequently, the decision was made—unusually for a golf course—to expand the golf offerings to include swing golf, kick golf (football golf), and mini golf.

We actually wanted to play the 9 holes of the short course (8 par 3s plus 1 par 4), which we had positive memories of. However, there would have been swing golfers and/or soccer players on the course in front of or behind us at the same time. Ultimately, that seemed too dangerous, so we opted for the "long" course.

The course has undergone significant development over the past 20 years. Some tees have been moved back, additional bunkers have been installed—in short, it's been noticeably made more challenging. Furthermore, the course, which opened in 1982, has grown naturally over the years and currently boasts a more attractive landscape. We found the course—at least the first nine holes—to be varied and very well-maintained for the time of year, although the greens still showed a few light signs of fungus and two tees hadn't yet been opened (there were slightly advanced tees for winter). None of this significantly impacted our enjoyment of the game.

The secretary was very friendly and accommodating. Due to time constraints, we didn't use the catering.

We can definitely recommend the facility – especially for families with children – given its low-threshold offerings. We give it a solid 3.5 stars.

Varied and well maintained

My day of golf at Golfpark Soltau in early September 2024 was great. The courses are varied and well maintained, and the relaxed atmosphere in the middle of nature is just perfect for switching off. The restaurant could offer a wider selection, but it is still a clear recommendation!

Restaurant

A big plus for the golf course.
- good fairways
- Green's good, but slow in places
- Bunker different
- but you can see the effort and work the greenkeepers put into it

The restaurant, on the other hand, has failed completely. catastrophic
- not open during opening hours, especially Fridays
- when open, long waiting times
- Golf course full of mini, kick and swing golfers, on nice days, such as Easter Monday and Whit Monday (golfers not included)
- Restaurants not open.
Unfortunately not an isolated case.. it has been like this for several weeks;((
A mobile meatball stand with drinks would be better.
Such an event location with so many leisure options also includes an event afterwards.
Too bad… You don’t understand the overall concept
