Characteristics
The course is located in the suburb of Seehausen at the northern edge of Leipzig directly at the new exhibition area, 15 min away from the city center and 12 min away from the airport. The course is characterised by mainly level terrain, big lakes, numerous bunkers, and very testing greens. Although the course is rated between sophisticated and difficult depending on the position of tees and flags, it is always fair. The 180 degree driving range, the tree putting green, the generous pitching area with a 6-hole executive course provides great training opportunities.

Solid golf course with green fairways even in midsummer

Played on September 7th, 2024. The flat 18-hole course with an additional 6-hole short course is located northeast of Leipzig near the A14, which you can hear on some of the courses. Halle/Leipzig Airport is also not too far away. A few power lines can be seen around the course. The golf course was built next to a former garbage dump. The courses are generally varied. There are doglegs, well-placed bunkers and some water hazards including hole 15 (PAR3) with an island green. Hole 8, also a PAR3, requires a tee shot over a small lake onto the green. In addition, hole 10, also a PAR 3, comes from an elevated tee. The final 18 also offers another dogleg with a body of water in front of the green. So it won't be boring and high HCs should have a few more balls in their bag, especially since the fairways are mostly very open but not necessarily particularly wide. Some of the tee boards are a bit weathered and should be replaced. Overall, the condition of the course was not a luxury lawn, but it was OK. The tees were aerated. Tees, fairways and greens were lush green. Everything around them was brown and dry. The sand in the bunkers was fine and the greens were true and not very undulating. The clubhouse with restaurant and outdoor terrace (not used) makes a good, modern impression. The reception is separate. The lady at the reception was in a good mood and very friendly. When I asked, she explained the way to the first tee, which unfortunately is not signposted and which you have to know. The way there is a bit longer and takes about 10 minutes, so you should factor that in when planning your tee time. It is best to buy drinks at the reception, as the halfway house at tees 1 and 10 was closed, at least when I visited. Play was manageable during my visit on a very sunny Saturday afternoon. It was only on hole 14 that I, as an individual player, came across a flight of four, who let me play straight through. The club members I met greeted me in a friendly manner. The green fee can also be booked and paid at a machine using an EC card. Tee times can be booked online using PC-Caddie. The green fee is at least €10 too high at €70 on weekdays and €80 on weekends. Especially as there are no discounts such as sundowners or discounts with Golf Albrecht. At least, however, there are no surcharges for golfers without a hologram, in order to promote golf. A small discount would have been appropriate because of the aerated tees. All in all, a beautiful, solid facility with an attractive and challenging course, for both higher and lower HCs. If you are in the area, a round is recommended.

Strategic play is only required on lanes 3,9 and 18.
The front 9 are a bit more interesting. The back 9 holes have some par 4s of around 400m. The course is not particularly long at 6100m from yellow. It has a fairway irrigation, which is why it is in a much better condition than most other courses at the end of July with me as 30°.
As a square close to a large city, it is not particularly attractive in terms of landscape, the topography is perfectly flat. If you are driving on the autobahns in Leipzig, it is ideal for a quick lap.

I had an excellent day of golf here as a first time visitor.
I also agree here, the lady at the reception was super nice, we were also able to find a good solution for the problem that I had forgotten my wallet in the hotel.
Otherwise, the place has shown the most beautiful green according to the merry month of May and there was nothing to complain about from the fairway to the greens. There wasn't much going on so I got through quickly. I found the holes exciting, nothing spectacular but a solid German domestic course.
Due to the greenery, you didn't see much of the area, you could hear the expressway from time to time, but only quietly.
The practice facilities looked great, I haven't been to the restaurant. I would play here again anytime!
