What a surprise!

This golf club definitely has the X factor! Fantastic nature! Beautiful surroundings! Secluded! Delightful! We are a Dutch couple in their fifties (hcp. 16 and 14) and have been playing golf for more than a decade all over the world. We were COMPLETELY taken by surprise to find one of the most beautiful golf courses we ever played here in Worpswede, 40 car minutes from Bremen center, where my wife had business to attend to. We never write reviews, but had to make an exception for golfclub Worpswede!

It is a woodland course that is not too difficult, but certainly interesting. The terrain is flat, the number of obstacles is manageable and there are hardly any challenges that players with higher handicaps cannot overcome. The condition of the course in June was relatively good. The green fee is significantly lower than at the other clubs in the Bremen area. We therefore find the price-performance ratio to be really great.
We were one of very few flights of four on the course, which meant we were able to complete it in 3 hours and 50 minutes.
Because of disappointments in the past, we did not visit the restaurants.
Conclusion: always a good alternative to the other places in Bremen and the surrounding area.

Played at GCW with three friends.
The facility is very far out and not, as expected, near Worpswede.
The fairways were ok, but the greens were in a very unkempt condition. Putting was pure luck.
Unfortunately, we can't say anything about the gastro, as it was already closed at 6:45 p.m.
Overall, the course would not play again. Fairly unspectacular tracks and no fairway bunkers.

The GC was visited as part of a small golf tour.
Some members gave us a very friendly welcome on site. Unfortunately, the friendliness ended in the secretariat. Here was a young lady who seemed to prefer doing her homework to answering our questions.
The tracks themselves, i.e. the fairways, were in acceptable condition despite the time of year. In neighboring clubs, however, there were better playable tracks and even playable summer greens.
Since we played on winter greens, we can't say much about the summer greens. But a look at these doesn't bode well for the summer. The summer greens were in a sorry state.
Afterwards we went to the gastro, where a nice young lady served coffee and cake at reasonable prices.

Absolute insider tip. Beautiful forest place with narrow course (1-9) and slightly more open courses (10-18). We enjoyed this great place in good maintenance condition on July 20th. Greens were probably aerated a few days beforehand - so no evaluation. With just under 5,800 meters of yellow, the space is not particularly long - precision is urgently required. Almost all railways are surrounded by forest. Some balls can be played out of the forest; sometimes there is also dense undergrowth.
At the friendly reception we were given a birdie book at no extra charge. However, due to the exemplary signage on all tees (boards for women and men tees), this is not absolutely necessary.
You shouldn't miss this place!!!

A great place, no frills! Above the Devil's Moor near Worpswede is this beautiful forest area. The fairways require accurate play, but often are the old trees gracious with us and throw the ball back onto the fairway - perfect!
The course was in perfect condition and it was a lot of fun, because you never knew what does the next train of one.
Again and again - highly recommended!
