Golf against a spectacular mountain panorama

We played the course on July 11th as a group of three. The course is located directly at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range and offers fantastic views of the Bergdoktor mountain from every hole. The 18-hole course isn't particularly difficult, but it does have a few tricky sections. You should know your driving distances precisely in the heat and at altitude, otherwise balls can easily get lost in the deep rough. The course is in excellent condition, and the greens are quite fast and true.
I also played the short course. It's not quite as elaborately designed, but it's in excellent condition.
There is a well-stocked pro shop. The food is excellent, offering a good mix of Austrian classics with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
We had a great afternoon of golf and a nice evening in the restaurant.
Definitely again next time.

Back in Ellmau after 2020 - the rating from back then is still valid today.
A well-maintained course that's enjoyable to play, but the fairways are unspectacular. I liked the third hole, the most difficult on the course. The 17th is tricky: do you lay up or play over the water? The final hole is also good.
The greens are immaculate, but relatively slow, bunkers are easy to play, and fairways are nice.
The par 72 course is relatively easy to play from yellow if you don't have too much dispersion.
I'd love to go for another ride around Kitzbühel!
