Extraordinary Golf with Patrick
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 18, 2010
My name is Robert and I live in Düsseldorf. I always fancied visiting Austria and decided to mix a golf vacation in July with a little site-seeing in the mountains.
As my german is far from fluent, I decided to seek a facility that had an english speaking pro.
I didn't realise I was about to encounter a very special person who referred to himself as an inner game golf coach.
I have been palying golf for over twenty years and Patrick McHugh, teh aforementioned coach, managed to change my whole perception of how this game should be played.
I don't think I have had as much unexpected fun in my entire life. I thought I was going to learn how to get into the slot or hear another tip that led to the secret move, but instead I was busy beating a bag with a carpet beater, learning snowboard and pointing at something taht is referred to with a japanese word "Zanzo".
To cut a long story short...
I had teh time of my life and I can't wait for my next visit to Austria and dropping in on Patrick at Tiroler Zugspitz Golf Club will definately be on the agenda.
Take a look at this video taht Patrick sent me as a souvenir to commemorate my experience.

Place ok - scenery top!!!
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 13, 2023
On a very hot and very sunny day we enjoyed the panorama of the Zugspitze and the surrounding mountains on the 9-hole loop of the Tiroler Zugspitz GC!
The 9 hole course is a par 36 standard and is completely flat.
The place is an average country course that gives a lot of fun! With a good tee length, it is relatively easy to play. The view of the two Tyrolean towns with their church towers and the magnificent mountain scenery make golf here so special!

Boring facility
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 10, 2022
Boring, poorly signposted facility with catastrophic lawn conditions. Lots of lion numbers and lots of puddles of water on the fairways. No trees and strange haircuts on the 9-hole course.
Beautiful mountain panorama of the Zugspitze, but unfortunately not recommended for golf.

I played 18 holes last week. Fantastic panorama, very well-kept place, very nice people in the secretariat and an appealing gastronomy!

The 360 ° all-round view is amazing
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed April 26, 2021
In order to bring variety into play with 18 holes, the tees are set differently for each round, but the flag position is the same. In itself a comfortable and easy-to-play course - with small pitfalls in the details such as B. small houses that are placed in the middle of the tee, water ditches in tee length and grumbling goat herds along the fairway. The best thing here is the great view and it is perfectly suitable for a short round of holiday golf.

Wonderful place in the most beautiful surroundings
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 29, 2020
I got to know the GC Tiroler Zugspitze on a few days in July 2020 and am thrilled by the beautiful, very fair course with its fantastic panorama, the always friendly, helpful reception and the extremely nice reception by club members during a tournament - thank you very much!
The course is uniquely beautiful between the Zugspitz massif and the Mieminger chain with the sun tip and it was sometimes difficult for me to keep my eyes on the golf game.
The 9 holes are m. E. very diversified (straight lanes change with doglegs on both sides, water, meadows and huts ...), in flat terrain, sporty and fair to play. Condition of the place was excellent and just very well maintained.
The course gets additional variety and variation by playing the two loops of two different tees in an 18-hole round and this can require very different tactics.
Practice facilities are very extensive and in good condition - practice in the evening mood of the surrounding mountains is recommended!
The ladies at the reception and golf shop were extremely friendly, always looked after and I felt very welcome.
This also applies to the club members I met during a tournament, who welcomed me very kindly and with whom I was able to play a wonderful tournament round.
Finally, a very well-kept, interesting clubhouse with very good gastronomy.
Actually, I give 9-hole courses not 5 stars compared to a large 18-hole course - but here I really enjoyed the reception, club and the course with the constantly inspiring panorama and enjoyed it so much that I like the top rating give - and gladly come back.
Thank you, best regards & see you soon...

Senior suitable flat golf course
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 28, 2019
The course is good for middle handicappers and seniors. For lower handicappers, there is a bit of variation in fairway and greenondulations. This should be considered in an extension of the place. The secretariat was friendly and helpful and hole 19 invites you to stay after the round.

Place with beautiful panoramic
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 14, 2012
The obstacles lie in this place, unfortunately, in my reach. The second Round was already significantly better because I played tactically.
The course is flat and has almost every tee a bench to enjoy the beautiful panorama of the Alps can.

Just lovely!
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 17, 2010
My first independent golf tournament was held in the beautiful grounds "Tyrolean Zugspitze golf" on Monday, 12 July 2010 instead. As a Swiss I know some nice places at home and abroad. But these warm welcome from the locals mostly golfers that has really impressed me. A cozy comfort and a lot of humor.
This is how golf really fun! - And so I played loose and thus also really good. Could my HC from -35.5 to -34.0 play down. Thanks also to my
Roland Achenbach players. I'm going to go play golf there again. Hagar Hasler, CH-8302 Kloten
