Place maintained, but moldy greens

First played as a guest in August 23. A well-kept, interesting course awaited us, which we enjoyed playing. Some ball landing zones not visible, but not too tragic. However, the greens were full of mold, so controlled putting was not possible. Due to the wetness of the last few days, the Vorgüns were blue. Both visibly limited the game; Unfortunately, the club secretary did not point this out - despite asking before the game started. A green fee reduction after the game because of vg defects was categorically rejected!
Too bad, customer friendliness is better.
The bottom line is still a nice place with a friendly and good gastronomy, which we will definitely play again.

Beautiful and varied

Closeness to nature is very important, which gives the place additional flair. Very well-kept facility, varied tracks with always new challenges. Just great!

Well-kept place with a top gastronomy

Yesterday we played the course again, this time as part of the Golf Post Tour. Everything was well organized and impeccable. The parking lot, practice areas and clubhouse are in good condition and despite the large number of participants in the tournament (84 players), there were no problems with parking spaces or in the locker rooms.

On the driving range there are two areas for driving and a small putting green, a second putting green and the short game area is then in the direction of the first tee. The condition is good and everything possible can be trained. The only point of complaint are the range balls (12 pieces = €1) and the machine only takes €1 coins. So everyone should be “prepared” ;-)

Despite the drought, the course is in good overall condition. The tracks are fair, but also challenging. Some holes require good deposits (in front of the cross water) or a long drive (behind the water), but then the direction must also be right. We were usually able to find balls next to the fairway, but it was rather hopeless in the rough. Water hazards are rather rare, red penalty areas are often located at the edge of the lanes. The numerous doglegs are varied, as they can sometimes be shortened and sometimes have to be placed in the crease. Due to the differences in height, you sometimes have to take one more club and sometimes one less, so it doesn't hurt if everyone knows their shot lengths. The greens are relatively fast and undulating. But on the whole, breaks are easy to recognize and, after a bit of getting used to them, easily doable.

There is more than one signature hole, which of course isn't possible, but I can't decide which one to name. At least with the 11 I am sure that it belongs there, because here there is more than one way to successfully play this par 4. The hole looks easier in the birdie book than in nature when you are standing on the tee box. Have courage, something works ;-)

After the round there was a BBQ, which was very good, a huge selection and always enough of everything, despite the 84 people. I was also very impressed the last time there was food á la carte and I would even go here just for the meal. Fair prices and top quality.

Our tip: If you have the opportunity to play here, then take the chance.

Very nice, well-kept place in nature

Beautifully situated and very varied course in the middle of nature. The fairways are very well maintained and quite wide, but also demanding, as the space for the location in Lipperland is very undulating. Some tees are really spectacular, on some fairways there are beautiful large oak trees and require a lot of precision. The greens were freshly scarified but still very playable and faithful. The predominantly old trees and bushes make playing here a remarkable experience of nature, sometimes you feel completely alone and surrounded by forest, with only the narrow aisle in front of you, through which you have to tee off. Overall a great experience, many thanks to the club.

I'm sorry

Can not remember playing a more unkempt and partially healthy golf course. At almost every step, even on the fairways, you had to make sure that you do not fold over. The skyline with the RWE power plant was still the best. Since every euro green fee was too much.

Nice design with some farm atmosphere

A challenging course, apparently grown from agriculture. This is still visible on some corners and buildings. Partly long and complicated ways to the next tees.

But a nice design with undulating terrain from the fairway to the green.

At the moment the diving range is being rebuilt, which is a bit short. Rangebälle unfortunately very hard and easy.

The staff was very nice and informative.

All in all, a nice facility, the pleasant playable.

Up and down - very varied

Varied place that always goes up and down again. On this Tuesday morning (we played from 10.30h - about 14.30h) there were hardly any other players on the way and we were able to play the 18-hole course quickly and without hassle. In addition, the lady in the golf secretariat was very nice. We will definitely play there again.

Great topography and great golf course architecture

An all-round golf course. The driving range is being completely redesigned and complemented with a Scope Hall.
The golf course architecture is unrivaled in the area.
Hilly, forest, water, all interesting fairways for all leagues.
The clubhouse is very nice with a great terrace.

Beautiful space with pleasing cooling tower view

The minimal hilly (cart not required) 18-hole golf course not far from the A2 near Hamm shortly before / after the Ruhr area offers everything that golfers need without being too difficult, so that even high HC should get along here. Most fairways are relatively open and have relatively little rough. The tracks are pleasing and varied created, among other things with a few water hazards. The condition, especially the greens, was in good condition on 30.06.2015. On some tracks you have the power plant Hamm with its cooling towers in mind, above all on the 16th green Mich did not bother. Otherwise you can enjoy his round pure in peace and nature. In the club office in the beautiful clubhouse you will be welcomed as a guest friendly. The green fee is appropriate and a surcharge for guests without hologram, there are thankfully not present. It would be nice for a sundowner late guests. But the lady at the counter was found as flexible. The members sincerely friendly and let me run through quickly than single player. A round can be safely recommended here.

Advisable

More by accident we have come to this really pleasant golf course. It lies a few kilometers from the BAB 2 away, in a radius of 30 km there are several golf courses.
This place knows by very different topology. It is a bit hilly but also just, has some challenging tracks and thus satisfies a large part of the leisure and hobby golfers.
The fairways beautifully here and there a dogleg. The greens were a result of aeration while Hoppelig but quickly.
The new clubhouse is very appealing, the service exceptionally friendly and the quality of food very good.

Conclusion: we'll be back, the place is highly recommended.
