The course is just 10 km from Amstetten Golf Club. The castle stands high above the course, and the clubhouse was probably an old outbuilding of the castle. Everything is beautifully put together. The completely flat course has strikingly high bunker walls and can be classified as a parkland course. On some holes, giant poplars flank the fairways. The course workers were just mowing extensively for the upcoming tournament. After mowing, the fairways were in good condition; before mowing, they were a loose, daisy-covered meadow, similar to the tee boxes. After the round, the restaurant is highly recommended.
In my opinion, the design and layout and the surrounding landscape cannot quite compete with GC Amstetten.
A golf trip to the Moostviertel is worth it…

You should really give it 2-3 stars, but the service is very nice and friendly, hence 3 stars. The course doesn't deserve it, the layout is simple, boring and the maintenance is poor. Tee boxes are unkempt, fairways are unmown, the many daisies are very nice but very annoying. The greens look OK, but are very slow and extremely bumpy. Last but not least, the restaurant is not worth mentioning, the waiter is friendly but helpless, on a Sunday there is nothing to eat except baked cheese and pretzel sticks.

Why is there a fifth star missing? Unfortunately, the gastronomy has deteriorated significantly, which is completely incomprehensible to us. The offer is so minimalistic that there is neither a soup nor any kind of dessert. The tenant can cook - the pizzas he makes are wonderful. But there was neither spaghetti nor schnitzel or similar classics that everyone brings together. A real shame! The innkeepers are very friendly and nice.
