Characteristics
Since 2002, the Golfclub Eichenried houses three loops with 9 holes each that all finish at the clubhouse and can be played in various combinations. Both the course extension and the old championship course, that hosted the BMW International Open, were designed by Kurt Roßknecht. The holes on the terrain of c. 350 acres have a high yardage throughout and feature a population of old trees as well as numerous water hazards such as streams and ponds.

Great Golf Course

Eichenried golf course is my favorite course (I also play in Coachella Valley, CA Vermont and Savannah GA.) The plus is the fairways, greens, challenging hazards. It is not a "short" golf course, Par 3's are mostly 200+ yards.
It is not a course for high handicap players, but very exciting for golfers who are competitive.
It is flat, easy to walk & carry.
Perfect course to be a member and play during the week however it is not a scenic golf course which should be recommended to visitors looking for view of the Alps.

Well, now I've played the third BMW International Open course (after Lärchenhof and St. Eurach). It has earned 5 stars due to the excellent condition and the wonderfully playable lanes. But I also agree with some of the previous reviews: In terms of layout, the space did not overwhelm me. There are much more exciting places in the Munich area. And the Lärchenhof impressed me more.
But as already mentioned: the round of golf there is great fun, especially for a golfer in the medium handicap range. Wide fairways and the numerous fairway bunkers usually only come into play on the second shot. The greens are top class. I've seen it very seldom.
And what I also noticed very positively. Everyone there is super friendly, from the secretariat to the greenkeepers to the restaurant service. You don't have it everywhere either.
Relaxed pleasure golf day = Eichenried!
