The first three holes are somewhat monotonous, steadily and gently climbing the hill. Starting with the fourth hole, the course reveals a different side along the Wales River. The design and layout improve significantly, as does the landscape. From the second nine holes onward, the 18-hole Moostviertel course is truly top-notch. The condition of the course was impeccable, and the greens were incredibly fast. Very friendly service and excellent food in the courtyard afterward. A worthwhile visit.

The golf course in Ferschnitz has grown again since my last review, the course maintenance is excellent, the greens are very fast. The course has been upgraded with various floral decorations and the system itself is wonderful, no two holes are alike and it is a pleasure to play there. The surrounding landscape is gorgeous. In addition, there is relatively little going on. When I asked why that was the case, I was honestly assured that they didn't want to do too much advertising so that it stayed that way. However, one hears that a new president wants to wake this place from its slumber.
The exercise facilities are also ok. I would particularly like to highlight the restaurant, which, apart from being particularly cordial, also spoils you with a very good offer. Pricing: absolutely reasonable, is also in the fairway2hotel. Secretariat: exceptionally friendly and competent. You cannot stay overnight directly on site, but for romantics we recommend Ernegg Castle, about 8 km away, which apart from pure nostalgia also offers another golf course.

In large parts it is a fairly generous parkland course that is beautifully integrated into the rolling hills of the Mostviertel. The old trees make the place even more attractive, especially when the pear trees are in bloom in spring. Overall, the well-tended course is varied and fair, even if some holes are quite challenging.
There are enough training opportunities available, the down-to-earth gastronomy is pleasant with an attractive terrace in the inner courtyard of the clubhouse.
