The course is situated in the middle of an undulating fruit tree landscape in the idyllic Thurgau. Clubhouse with underground parking is classy. To the place; The first 9 holes are located on the hill above the clubhouse and are lined with trees. From 10 (below the access road) it gets really mountainous. A negative mention would be the 12th. A par 5; Drive into the slope; If you're lucky, you can guess where things will go next. So transport into the hilly nothingness and hope for a flat location. If everything went well, you can see the well-defended green below the slope. Top who gets a good score here. At 13, even with a great drive on shot 2, there is no green anywhere in sight. The subsequent holes are then recognizable as golf courses again. Until 16 comes along with another hill to climb. Then a par 3 that makes up for the mountain climbed. No wonder many club members skip 16+17 and shorten from 15 to 18. You can play, but you don't have to.

We count this course among the Bodensee-Courses, in our list there are 17 in number. Such an assessment is incorrect - not possible - in comparison with these alone.
The initiators started with the claim to build the best golf course in Switzerland, the result does not live up to the claim.
We played a round here in 1996, two years after the opening, and left the field shaking our heads. Our score certainly played a role, even more so the layout in this very difficult terrain. Some things definitely don't fit together, too many blind holes, blind landing zones and blind greens, as well as the sometimes very violent terrain transitions.
A central feature of the golf course architecture is that you can see the same thing when you hit the green, including the pin position. This feature also applies to the tea shot. That gets hurt here too often!
From our point of view, the tip of the irrational is hole 15 par 5 - an S - you have to play around the tee of hole 18 - for the very long ones...
It is the terrain that ensures sportiness - exertion - not the course, as it should be.
The impressions today are the same, also today...
Care and maintenance is good, the residual consequences of the "winter-spring" are still visible here.
Together with Owingen we played two similar courses, our conclusion: We are not convinced by this facility - in contrast to Owingen.
