The flat championship-course is situated directly in the Eferdinger basin, which is favoured by the climate, and impresses with it strategically well-placed water hazards and bunkers. Back at the GC Donau after 2020, course maintenance still great, design as well, this time 5 stars, because I now also appreciate flat courses.
Course is very tricky, especially hole 3, the hardest hole on the course. From the tee it goes straight over the water, the fairway bunkers are to be avoided. The second shot across the lake requires a perfect shot, as there is usually a headwind and the green is higher than the fairway.
But there are many other great fairways on this varied course.
