We played the "Golfbaan Dirkshorn" in June 2022. The current green fee of 59 euros can be spent without hesitation. The links-like course was in immaculate condition and is easy to play for all handicap classes. If you stay on the fairway. The rough looks harmless but eats balls.
The warmth that was shown to us from the 1st to the 19th hole is particularly impressive. On the 1st tee we were asked to play through another tournament flight. We played this course in August 2018, when all places in Germany were burned dust deserts. Here were both the greens, and the fairways, in a state that was fun: rich green and juicy. The course itself is difficult to characterize: a mix of links and parkland, with varied and visually appealing tracks. The undulating fairways and deliberately placed bunkers require precise and strategically thought-out play. At two lanes one has to consider whether one dares to play long over the water, or prefers to submit. The par 3's are consistently interesting - overall a pleasurable round.
From 15:30 clock there is the Twilight fare (€ 42.50). The reception in the clubhouse was very friendly, the sanitation modern and very clean. This place is absolutely recommendable.

Played on 12.9.217. The golf course is situated between Den Helder and Alkmaar (not by the sea). The flat and calm 18-hole course, although on a larger road and through another small road, which is crossed several times on the round, is divided into two parts some challenges. Not only the typically stronger wind for the region, but above all lots of water hazards and well placed bunkers come into play. In addition, there are light doglegs, occasionally also denser rough / clover grasses and above all strong ondulated but faithful and fast greens. The discounts are usually very open, so that even higher HC should come clear, but the stroke should already have a certain basic length. Having a few balls more in the bag mainly because of the wind and the water hazards, can certainly not hurt. The condition on our visit was impeccable, apart from the bunkers running from the previous rainfall to the edge with water, but the place can not do anything. We were lucky and stayed dry for three hours and even had the most radiant sunshine on our lap. We had booked a start time for 15:30 clock (Sundowner tariff 42.50 €) and were as good as alone on the court. The nice club secretary in the nice clubhouse (sanitary very modern) was very friendly and gave us a coffee for after the round. The gift token for the driving range could unfortunately not be used, because this was blocked because of the wind according to a greenkeepers notice, which the secretary apparently did not know. The regular green fee is 55 € (Mo.-So.) absolutely appropriate. There is an Earl Bird and Sundowner tariff. Who is in the region, a round is highly recommended.

After a very friendly reception in the beautiful and modern clubhouse, we first went to the practice ground. On the driving range there are open and covered mats. Various flags, nets, etc. are arranged at different distances in order to loosen the loading. Only the (too) small art mats tarnish the joy of something. The place itself is all the more an experience! Deep, partly huge fairway bunkers, many water hazards and well-protected greens offer a challenge on the always variedly designed courses. The greens themselves are fast and should be read very precisely. Typical for the region is the sometimes very strong wind, which makes many blows to the lottery play. Bahn four gets a special recommendation. Anyone who avoids the bunker has good chances, but no guarantee for a low score - whoever is trapped in it, it may be difficult. As a small candy, there was a (very good) coffee and balls on the range at the green fee.
