The Golfcourse
Just 5 minutes driving from the center of Schagen, you will find a beautiful 18-holes par-72 golfcourse. Officially the course has been opened in 2009 and ever since a lot of members and visitors have been playing on this beautiful golfcourse.
The track is characterized by undulating fairways and fast and smooth greens, rough and interesting water features with lots of flora and fauna.
The Clubhouse has been designed as a typical Dutch farmhouse. The large, attractive terrace view hole 1, 10 and 18. After playing golf, you can enjoy your dinner in the excellent restaurant where Robin Vrijer is the international cook.

Links course near the coast

Played at the beginning of April. Despite several weeks of drought, the course was in good condition. The scenery wasn't stunning, but it was basically laid out like a typical links course with the appropriate conditions. In other words, there was plenty of wind from all directions, but it always felt like it was blowing from the front. Fast, undulating greens, with some water.
Very friendly staff and a truly excellent restaurant. The green fee is now €67, but the course is well worth it. They offer a play and plate for €87, which includes a three-course meal after your round. Highly recommended.

We played the "Golfbaan Dirkshorn" in June 2022. The current green fee of 59 euros can be spent without hesitation. The links-like course was in immaculate condition and is easy to play for all handicap classes. If you stay on the fairway. The rough looks harmless but eats balls.
The warmth that was shown to us from the 1st to the 19th hole is particularly impressive. On the 1st tee we were asked to play through another tournament flight. We played this course in August 2018, when all places in Germany were burned dust deserts. Here were both the greens, and the fairways, in a state that was fun: rich green and juicy. The course itself is difficult to characterize: a mix of links and parkland, with varied and visually appealing tracks. The undulating fairways and deliberately placed bunkers require precise and strategically thought-out play. At two lanes one has to consider whether one dares to play long over the water, or prefers to submit. The par 3's are consistently interesting - overall a pleasurable round.
From 15:30 clock there is the Twilight fare (€ 42.50). The reception in the clubhouse was very friendly, the sanitation modern and very clean. This place is absolutely recommendable.
