Best greens

This is one of the nicest Golf Courses ive played in Germany. It has great quality greens-tees-fairways-bunkers-lakes and variety of different holes. The condition of the Golf Course was perfect. The roughs were a little hard but i always found my ball unless i was 50m away from the fairway, what i feel is justified. But as a hard course to play, it also has a high handicap rating system.
This is a course i will definetly play again and recomend to my friends. Possible one of the best Golf Courses ive played in Germany. alot of Golf Courses can only dream of true fast greens like at Hummelbachaue The only negative aspect i found was the playing time because the course was full I have a Handicap from 13 and played most of the Golf Courses in Köln and Dusseldorf, Hummelbachaue is in my best top 3.

Could be better

I played here recently as part of my golf package, and found it a little dissapointing. The greens were just being cut, so very inconsistent, and the fairways were very long. The course itself is very difficult with many challenging holes, and if you play in to the rough there is a good chance you will lose it!!
Food very nice but all in all it should have been in much better condition for this time of year

Nice place and gastronomy

Quiet, beautiful and well-kept place with friendly staff and good prices:
18 holes cost € 45 on weekends, 9 holes € 30.

Here you are also welcome with handicap up to 45 (18-hole course) and as a guest player. On the 9-hole course, a membership is not even necessary for the green fee game, but only the license to play.

The homepage is very informative. The 3D panoramas of all holes and holes are especially great. There it was also immediately announced that after the coronavirus-related closure, it would be open again from May 7,2020.

The gastronomy, two-story and very nicely located directly on the lake, was unfortunately not open due to Corona. The toilets at the club house were very clean and even with a toilet woman.
Unfortunately, the toilets on the way could only be used with a code that I had not received.

We would love to come back!

Fantastic November Golf

We played the course as guest in the November Green Fee promotion (18 L - 44 €).
The place was for the season in a very good condition (super greens - very decent fairways - little to no slush).

The complex is very nice - the place sporty demanding. For the price of the season an unqualified recommendation.

Perfect...

Have played as a guest several times the 9-hole course and you realize that he is probably (almost) just as well maintained and prepared as the 18-hole course - it is almost nothing better and for a 9 hole course to the prices and also called Guest friendly, it is really perfect.

As written by others possibly too short - but that is whining on a high level. Also, I think only hole 9 is not so great - it's damn hard at all to get into the kink (that should happen sometimes, that there are heavy holes), but the green is unfortunately very untypical onduliert.

If that is still to be changed (read here), so much the better :)

Will definitely play the 18 hole course - the club, the facility is just perfect.

Great Place

I loved the 18 hole championship course. Beautifully built into the landscape, great fairways and even the greens- although in progress - were good to play. But there was a discount. I know plants that are much more expensive in such places. The price / performance ratio is great. Food was ok. All in all highly recommended.

Positive development - great place good facility

A really great facility with a good 9 / hole course and a great 18 hole course.
There is also a class Golfodrom (There is only one suitable short game arena missing).
An exceptionally good pro shop. New changing rooms and caddy rooms and now also a good gastronomy. All the staff are nice and helpful and there is a good selection of teaching pros.

Surely I have forgotten a lot - I think you realize, I like to be there!

9 hole course

I played the 9-hole course in November in dry conditions. Very nice 9-hole course is a good deal shorter than usual but still a lot of fun to play. Greens were in good condition and are well undulating. Only on lane 9 was it perhaps exaggerated. Definitely recommended for all handicaps.

Sporty demanding, varied course

In addition to the 18-hole course, there is still a public 9-hole course. This review is only for the 18-hole course. This flat parkland field fits well into the landscape. With its well-placed bunkers and numerous water hazards and partly undulating fairways, the course is very demanding and requires a precise game. The tracks are very varied and always fair. The condition was good (small downside: after a long dry period, the grass had dried up in some places of the fairways). The golf course belongs to the Leading Courses of Germany and fulfills the high quality requirements associated with it.
A shortcoming is the gastronomy dar. The bistro open during the day offers a very low supply of food (tarte flambée, sausage with potato salad, cake). This offer does not match the claim of a Leading Golf Course. The 5-star rating therefore refers only to the golf course, but not on the gastronomy.

Interesting place with lots of water hazards

Here the long hitters will have to step on the brakes. A strategy game s is required. Top greens! Very well-kept area with simple directions and friendly service. I liked the place well-liked.

Very good!

I have the 9 hole course played the end of October, the place is nicely decorated and has a lot of old trees. Bunkers and water hazards are well Placed. The reservation went smoothly and I was friendly reception. Since I have played two times 9 hole behind the other it was very nice that one between the two rounds a snack in the bistro, which is directly related to tea one to be able to eat. In conclusion, I would recommend this restaurant very much. We ate well there. All in all, a very nice facility that should be visited times.

Champions Course?

The square in top condition!
However, the discount tables with missing distances to hazards and the green and their locations, maximum circle class and really shameful for the self-imposed demands of the operator!

Demanding good geplegte system

The complex is located between Cologne and Dusseldorf pure in close proximity to the A57 but in absolute peace and nature. Here you can meet the sporting and ambitious young golfer but also the well-heeled leisure golfers of the Kings. To my novice time I have often played the 9-hole course and am there often desperate due to the rather narrow tracks. Nevertheless, there is a good chance the joys and suffering to get to know the golf is just for beginners. Recently I have about 1x per year may also play the 18-hole course, which is rather difficult for weekend guests. In both places is actually getting a lot of traffic, so registration is required. One should rather play in the afternoon, then there are also discount. The Secretariat I was always greeted warmly. The 18-hole course in itself is a golf course as you can gestallten him hardly better. It offers all the challenges in the flat and open terrain but times and was always well maintained. The current green fee is entirely appropriate in my view. The practice area is incidentally also exemplary.

Lighter than its reputation

The championship course is m. E. to wrongly as "difficult" because it offers some American wide fairways that demand the least athletic players at the tee-off is not much. In approaching the game of bunkers and water is directed, is a fascinating pot bunker, I think on the 5th Hole in front of the green, St. Andrews real feeling, if no other flight pushes from behind, you should definitely enjoy the fun here to make a few beats! The state space between the holes varies from average to maintain, remodeling or new installation since have brought good.
The practice facilities are very good, the public traffic high, the price of range balls for my liking too high.
The 9-hole course is crowded and not designed for bloody beginners. However, these are the dominant species, which makes the game often painfully slow.
Conclusion: Full recommendation for the 18-hole course, 9 hole only in the morning or before sunset to play quickly, and if you just want to practice, it is certainly true here.

Hummelbachaue

Quite challenging course. Very well maintained. But the system as a whole is still very large and thus a little impersonal. The 9 hole course is really hard to play for a normal novice. This means that it came on the day (Sunday in summer) when I played to long waiting times. The fact that four have played in the Beginner flight ahead of me. 'm Still a little work and I think I'll have fun on the court. At that time he was still too hard for me. But the place and the overall environment has everything for a successful day of golf.
