Good but thats it

I had pleasure to play this course during my trip to Austria, I did not stay in hotel so I could not review hotel only course.
I had a big expectation when coming to Kremstal.
I made my booking through ÖGV, which was easy and fast, unfortunately my final price was bit different than on website, but still good. Checking in reception was not as smooth as on Ansfelden course, but at the end I was checked in. I grab a coffee before the game and restaurant was packed with people and it had great atmosphere.
I start game and was paired with very pleasant couple from Vienna. What I miss since beginning it was starter/marshal especially on course like this which is resort and full of golfers. Since first tee we realize that it will be long day. Especially when 2 out of 3 players in front of us were not able to hit pass the ladies tee. Never mind. Front nine we play Panorama course was really nice with need for variety long shots. Once again I did appreciate great maintenance job. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Greens were rolling just right and scoring was really easy. What I'm missing on many courses are orientation sign and here it was not exception. They are placed not very well visible behind the green.
I liked hole number 8 par 3 and hole number 3 with lake and island green.
You will have nice views on Panorama course and its really lovely 9 holes.
On the start of back nine we realized again that we will be lucky to finish before sunset and round of golf will take 3 people about 5 hours. Back nine we play Bergenkurtkurs. I did not enjoy it very much due the slow play and due the reason that its next to the roads and therefore very noisy. Once again very challenging course with long par 3s, but I have get use to it. I forgot to mention few words about facilities, driving range is near the 1/10 tee, parking is big and spacious. There is also public course which I did not play.
The best part for me there was the coffee and chocolate mousse. Honestly saying not sure if its worth for me to come back.

Place top, gastro top, hotel flop

I took a short trip to Kremstal. Maybe the timing was wrong. On the first morning I had to have breakfast at the local bakery, a selection of rolls with sausage or jam, coffee. That's it. The room wasn't cleaned on the first day. Explanation: "we only have one cleaning lady". A price reduction would have been appropriate. Otherwise the place is very nice and fair. The restaurant is very good, friendly staff

4 to 4.5 stars

Interesting to play, especially on the second shots (from the tee, the course is more for practicing driving, means spacious landing zones, whether 170 m long or 250 m).
The bunkering also makes the game exciting.
The fairways and greens are equally solid.
The highlight is the gastronomy - compliments!
We played after rainy weeks, and I think the condition can be very good if the conditions are good.
If you are on the A1 - always worth a visit!

Very enjoyable!

We were guests at the Kremstal Golf Resort from July 4th to July 7th, 2022. The place was in very good condition.
All three courses had their own charms.
Very friendly staff in the clubhouse.
You can highly recommend the place.
We were very satisfied and would love to come back.

Dubious green fee price, extremely arrogant

Although I got information about the green fee price over the phone and the agreed price appeared in the booking, we were then charged 30 euros more when we paid. After some discussion, we paid the excessive price, then Mr. Obermayr jun. we don't have to come anyway, we should play where it's cheaper. He also admitted that he made a mistake, it was just our bad luck that we had to pay more now. (This is not invented by us, but can be proven in writing.)

It should also be noted that the panorama from the square is beautiful, but the streets around with heavy traffic and we found these extremely annoying.

There are definitely friendlier, more leisurely golf courses out there.

The restaurant is excellent, good quality, friendly, everything was great.

Dear Ms/Mr Thallinger,

After a few days apart and without emotion, we would now like to comment on this unfortunate misunderstanding.
There are two points that we would like to correct separately.

Point 1 - The amount shown to you is only valid if it is paid directly ONLINE by credit card. However, you only made the payment in our secretariat and therefore the normal price + schnitzel voucher was charged.

Point 2: The reduced green fee price.
Mr. Obermayr was initially of the opinion that you are full members (18 holes) of the GC Donau.
They receive a 50% discount on a green fee through our Friendly Golf Clubs Agreement.
Unfortunately, you are not a full member and he still gave you a special 10% discount.
It's listed on your home club's website, and it's on ours too.

Hopefully this awkward situation has been cleared up.

PS: Please also understand that due to your personal gaffes (below the belt) on the phone to Mr. Obermayr, no direct clarification was possible.
It's a pity that you found the environment disturbing, because on normal days our more than 1,000 members are very enthusiastic about our place and the friendly support.

Best regards from Kematen an der Krems

Enormously upgraded

Played here for the last time in 2018, now a big compliment to the greenkeeper team for the enormous improvement in the course.
Place well maintained, carpet fairways, playable bunkers, beautiful greens, not too fast but great to putt.
Course not easy to play now, as water hazards repeatedly defend the fairways and greens and therefore a good knowledge of the course is required.
Great fairways alternate, the most beautiful holes for me the tricky par 5, hole 3, and hole 12, also a par 5.

Worth a trip

Played in September 2018.

Interesting and varied course that often demands precision and strategy instead of pure length. Given the long dry period in good condition with very well-kept greens.
Newly created Waste Areas round off the course as well as some water fountain or the Georgsbrücke bridge.

Caution is advised when the liquor Car approaches with the Honorary President at the wheel.

A very active and friendly secretary, well-kept rooms at fair prices as well as an absolutely recommendable kitchen let you spend a weekend here.

I'll definitely be back!

Very fine resort

Played often on this course and he is really nice. The 18-hole course offers perfect greens (apparently excellently maintained during the heat), super fairways (again in top condition after the heat) and solid flat tees. With the new fairway 2 (par 3), which was opened in 2016, there are no long distances between tee-offs. Beautifully designed bunkers and some water hazards round off the visually wonderful and sporty demanding (for me with Hcp 32) place.
The restaurant "green's" also offers everything your heart desires, from traditional home cooking to Asian or burger / steaks. Very nice staff and open to all groups of people (not just golfers).
I would recommend this resort to anyone as the rooms have been newly renovated and now the offer has gotten even better.

Greens can be improved, then 4 stars

The greens were in a rather bad condition, especially on hole 5, the green was catastrophic.
Otherwise the place is quite nice but not intoxicating.
The new Par 3 is perfectly successful.

Otherwise, the 5,881 m (yellow) is pretty laid out and is rather easy to play at par 72 - if you're in a good mood!

Nice Gastro

Even better...

After two years again played and yet very positive surprised. The A course was rebuilt and complemented by another wonderful PAR 3 in the middle of the forest. Condition 1 a!
Particularly to be highlighted the arrows greens. Also the whole area was very elaborately redesigned. Blumrenöge without end and a new club terrace really at its finest. Here with excellent food and the same wine the sunset over the golf course to experience - unique!

Great remodeling

Could convince me of great alterations and renovation of Course A Bergergutkurs, completely new built into new haircuts on some holes, hole 2 in a forest, certainly one of the most beautiful par 3 in Austria, hole 3 has new discounts and new design of the first 300 meters in these super par 5, everything was super successful, the Golf Resort Kremstal is now certainly one of the top places in Austria, you have to play, and the new tenant from the golf place is super, good food and friendly, the residential place is already well known!
Has a lot of money taken in hand!

Bergergutkurs / Panorama Course

Golf: During the first nine are rather unspectacular, it is scenically more interesting on the Second.

Place Condition: Unfortunately, the fairways were due to record summer in such miserable condition that it was allowed to better define in all holes within one club length.
The haircuts on the front nine very uneven. Greens well.

Conclusion: Nothing special.

One of the best golf resorts in Austria

Varied 27-hole course, well maintained and really great greens! Place is on a hill with stunning views of the Alps. Still to play without major climbs and always fair.
These living in apartments overlooking the golf course and excellent club restaurant. The combination living, including green fees at the golf course will be offered at sensationally good prices!

A resort with a heart

A few days in the foothills of the Alps in Kematen, a great gepfelegter golf course with great design counts, certainly one of the best places to Austria asks, but the cordiality started in the Secretariat to Resturant is amazing and you can find quite rare, we will be back!

Golfing with pensioners

During our stay we teed Austria this summer in Krems Valley Golf Resort and also usual. The accommodation in the apartment with access to a beautiful natural lake has fallen to us as well as the golf course. This was in good condition and it has two different characters on. The first part, the Bergergutkurs, can play easily when using a "retired" was very helpful in the first round. On the second nine holes, the panorama course, the place is more varied. First, the mountains can be admired and secondly comes with the holes a little "water" into play. Especially the web 12 offers something for the eye (island green). From Monday to Thursday there is always quite full, according to the pensioners, because then the older gentlemen enjoy privileges. But it also seems to be quite otherwise, since the space of a few in the area is, which is quite just created. Conclusion: Just as guest apartment offers the golf course is a good value for money.

Alpine Foreland Golf Resort

Also, this golf resort we have visited in our Upper Austria Golf Tour - even if we only played the 18-hole course, but have not lived there.

The Bergergutkurs (holes 1-9) and the Panorama Course (hole 10-18) make up the 18-hole course.
Rate this division has us a little confused at first and also the search for 10-hole extended. Also the way to the hole 2 runs through a wooded area and we were not always sure whether we are on the right track.
The 18-hole course stretches completely flat over the area and is also not too difficult to play due to the mostly wide fairways. Here you can also enjoy unpack the driver and also the rough forgives failures mostly.
Not we liked the split of Green Lane 4 and 6 The confused especially when the space is the first time and at the same time approaches the Green by Lane 4 and 6. Matter of taste - but I'm not a fan of split greens.
Course was in very good condition care - both fairways and bunkers and greens.
In good weather there is always a fantastic view over the Alpine foothills and Alps.

The 9-hole Scherndlgutkurs we have not recorded during our visit. The place looks a little hillier but partly.

For example, a week-long vacation certainly a nice place to stay in order to relax and play golf. Not only because of the Golf Village (Holiday Homes) incl pond but because so few other golf clubs in the surrounding area are that you could manage in this framework.

The Clubhouse Restauran "host in G'wölb" (including the basement of the local schnapps distillery) you can recommend with good conscience. Nice, hospitable staff, good food and all at fair prices. The large terrace with hole 18 invites you to relax after your round.

What has also liked: Absolutely no snobbish golf course. This pleases.

Always gladly again!

Highly recommended the entire resort!
Place is very beautiful and varied. Place Bergergut and panorama combine to create a great 18 hole. Place Scherndlgut is probably underestimated by many, but is also good for golfers times ne great variety. However, a few meters are to be completed, in contrast to the other 18 holes.
Generous training facilities available, also for the important short game.
We are one week in Apartment on Golf Course usual, great amenities with views over the practice green and driving range. Very rich mini bar with local wines at good prices.
Restaurant good, nice terrace.
Overall, a great destination, especially if you can stay a few days. It has enough good golf courses.
