Characteristics
The championship course, which was designed by Michael Pinner and officially opened in April 1999, provides a terrific view of the Taunus and the Vogelsberg.
Featuring an average of four teeing grounds per hole, wide and inviting fairways, and strongly undulating greens, this course offers numerous interesting and challenging options to golfers ranging form part-time to professional players.

A real gem in Central Hesse – delightful all round

As a passionate golfer with a handicap of 14, I've played many courses in Germany – but Winnerod Golf Club is definitely one of my favorites. The course offers not only sporting challenges but also an all-around enjoyable golf experience that appeals to both ambitious players and those just enjoying the game.
The 18-hole championship course is superbly maintained and offers a varied layout. I was particularly impressed by the fast greens and strategically placed bunkers, which reward precise play. The holes are fair but challenging – ideal for mid-handicappers looking to improve their course management. The scenic setting among the rolling hills also creates a picturesque ambiance that makes every round a pleasure.
The practice facilities also leave nothing to be desired: a driving range with covered tees, a spacious putting green, and a short game area offer perfect conditions for training.
In the clubhouse, a stylish ambiance meets warm hospitality. The restaurant offers excellent cuisine – ideal for rounding off a round of sports.

Pleasant surprise

05/31/2023: Since it's been light for a long time, I just wanted to "test" a place that I don't know yet, hence my drive to Winnerod in the afternoon. You can get there quickly via the autobahn (near the Reiskirchener Dreieck), but you hear almost nothing from the AB on the site (I only heard something about lane 17). The clubhouse is in a basin and when I saw lane 1, I was still thinking about taking a cart. But I didn't do it to "earn" my food there. Was very impressed by the place and had not expected it at all. Generously laid out, on the mountain ranges you always have a great view of the landscape. The place was also nicely maintained. Had a nice 4-flight ahead of me. They would even have let me overtake, but I really didn't want to. I preferred to enjoy the landscape and let them show me the way to the next hole, especially since they weren't slow either. The place was also well signposted. After that I had a stop at the restaurant and my conclusion is: It was all a very pleasant surprise.

Relaxed Golfing

We played the course in May and we really liked it. Beautiful greens and manicured fairways. The bunker was partly under construction and was reduced in size, the sand in the bunker was unfortunately a bit small, as was the case with many other golf courses. The nearby motorway can only be heard on hole 3 and on the 17th tee.
The members and the marshal were very relaxed, it was just fun to run up and down the hills, especially on the first 9 holes.
The only real criticism is the driving range. The balls and the tee mats feel like they come from the last millennium. There is an urgent need for action here, especially when you consider the rather confident token price of €3.50 per bucket
