Golf in Wall - Visiting Berlin & Playing Golf
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 3, 2024
I recently arranged a game of golf for myself and 8 friends who were visiting Berlin. Nick and Odette in the Professional Golf shop were so helpful before and during our visit, arranging tee times, golf club and buggy hire. The best welcome and customer service we have received at any golf club we have ever visited. Although just over an hour in an Uber from Berlin, which was doable, the return requires a train back due to the non availability of taxis. Nick and the owner of the club were super helpful, even giving us a lift to the station.
The course was in good condition and we really enjoyed our round. Especially myself as I won our golf competition! The greens were 7/10 and tricky. The rough was penal so worth noting where its was to manage your way round the course which also had a lot of water in play. It made you think so was a challenge to both our lower and higher handicappers alike.
Afterwards we drank a few beers on the lovely terrace and had the best Club Sandwiches in Germany, probably. All in all a great day. Thanks Nick, Odette and the Owner of the Club for such a great day.

Great quality

This is the best course I've played in and around Berlin.
The greens are in perfect shape.
They are changing a few holes, making the course more challenging as more water comes into play.
Very nice Clubhouse and friendly staff.
Will definately play again next time I'm in town.

Club that is looking for its equal 👍👍
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed April 1, 2023
Staff and owner very friendly and helpful.
Hands-on courses without stress and exam anxiety. The game of golf is brought closer in a calm and very understandable way.
The place partly very narrow and peppered with water. So not a simple quick affair.
Still good to play in this weather.
Gastro good and easy what more do you need.
Always worth a stop with a caravan or mobile home, everything you need is there. electricity toilet etc.
Dogs welcome 👍
We will come back in any case.

Wide fairways with many water hazards and tall grass.
Sometimes a bit confusing where the next tee is.
Still good to play.
The greens are not that special.
Bumpy and very rough. Partly a gamble.

It sometimes happens that nobody answers the phone in the morning, the website is not up to date, no information is stored on the PC-Caddy... and you are faced with a closed golf course.
With a journey of 60 km, this is very annoying.
Didn't happen once.

The office is only manned from 9 a.m. during the winter season. In my opinion, there was exactly one situation like this after a sudden thaw.
On that day we tried very hard to inform our guests in good time and for those who we didn't reach there was the possibility to avoid our 9-hole course.
Of course it's annoying when you get there. A tip might be the next time, when there is thawing after a long period of frost, only start driving after you have checked the condition of the course at 9 a.m. in the secretariat and then postpone your tee time at 9.30 a.m.
In order to avoid lasting damage on the course and to be able to keep the summer greens open, the course unfortunately has to be protected from time to time in difficult weather conditions.
In summary, a fairly unfair rating in which just the anger about a unique situation had to be expressed!
PS You have already given us 4 of your 5 overall ratings (all of a rather negative nature) over several years. It doesn't have to be that bad for us. ;)
Many greetings

Lots of water in wall
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 7, 2021
Played on November 7th, 2021 (18-hole course and 9-hole - par 31 - crane course). The 27-hole course is located a few kilometers from Berlin, a little north / west of the capital, in absolute tranquility and nature. Only the regional train, which now and then passes right by the square, can be seen and heard, but it doesn't bother you. From the A10 / A24 it is about 20km through various villages and forests to the complex. The defining element on the 18-hole course is water. It feels like water comes into play on almost every lane, so make sure you take enough balls with you. You should also avoid the sometimes very dense rough, with most tees being very open. There are also doglegs, a few bunkers and a few heavily undulating greens. One wonders why the target is actually so low, with all the challenges. The greens are relatively large and so three-putt are not uncommon. One or two lanes have two greens, for whatever reason. Lt. Wintergreens are generally not used on the homepage. The maintenance condition was okay according to the season. Due to heavy rain in the last few days, some places on the fairways were very wet and some bunkers were full of water. Apparently there is no drainage here. The fairways were, at least where they were dry, actually, as described on the homepage, like carpets. The greens were faithful and quick. Unfortunately, like the fairways, some were often full of leaves. The place is flat so a cart is not required. The signs to the next tee are exemplary and also necessary, as the route is not self-explanatory in some places. The game operation on an initially dry, then rainy and then sometimes even sunny Sunday morning was manageable. There are basically start times that guests can also book via the homepage. The clubhouse is small but nice. There is also a small restaurant with an outside area (not used). The employee at the counter / pro shop was very nice and friendly. A driving range and a spacious practice area are available. The standard green fee of € 45 on weekdays and € 59 on weekends is appropriate. There is an early bird and sundowner tariff, also on weekends. The 9-hole course (4x PAR 4.5x PAR 3) is certainly more for beginners or for a quick practice round without any particular challenges. The 9-hole course is open to the public and can be played without a license to play. If you take the path and love the challenge of “water”, you shouldn't go wrong with Golf im Wall.

Exaggerated in the LeisureBreaks book
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 30, 2019
The greens are currently (late August) in a very bad condition. In addition to many areas that are currently being repaired, broad-leaved weeds are also growing. Fairways are relatively sandy, I do not know that from the south of the republic.
The peace is quite enjoyable. The staff is friendly and the food is good too, so 2 out of 3 stars..

Beautiful place

We are always happy to drive out into the nature to Wall. What the place offers to nature, there simply no one else in Berlin Brandenburg can keep up. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the renovation work, which took a little while, but the end result is even better. And whether or not upgrading the railway makes sense, they'll know better.
We can always take our dog with us without any problems and, above all, we enjoy the friendly and relaxed cooperation on the pitch! A cold drink and a delicious snack after the round on the super comfy sofas leave something to be desired. Only recommended.

Remodeling
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 12, 2018
For a good year, it has been redesigned here in the square. Much earth is and has been moved. Only it will not quite finish. The turf does not really want to grow on the redesigned fairways. Everything else is really growing here. Floor in repair! Now the fairway of Bahn 1 has been raised. Why? Does it make the railway more interesting? No.
Again, for one year the lawn will not grow and the track will not finish. Otherwise, it is easy in Wall and the prices are reasonable.

I play regularly in Wall and I enjoy playing golf in a relaxed atmosphere and rural environment. Compared to the previous year, the space conditions / greens have improved. Currently, some fairways on the 18-hole course are redesigned, so that the converted tracks are certainly playful demanding and the entire system is more attractive. I'm curious when everything is ready.
In winter, playing on summer greens is possible.
The staff is friendly. The clubhouse with catering has a nice terrace with a good overview of the extensive grounds.

Reviews that are completely unobjective, should not be considered!
A place that guarantees a nice round for beginners as well as experienced golfers!
Fairways are great, the greens although recorded in winter great!
Clubhouse with flair and very nice staff!
If you want to escape the crowded clubs, should take half an hour from the north of Berlin in purchasing!
I am looking forward to the next round in Wall

There are sprinklers everywhere or you are accompanied by the noisy engine noises of the machines. A wonderful terrace, on which you unfortunately can not enjoy its peace, because the manager folds his staff together publicly.
A nice natural place from which you could get something out, but does not seem like it.

Playing in the winter on summer greens
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 16, 2018
Something's going on in Wall. Radical conversion of the care measures in the course of 2017 bear great fruits, the greens (here you can play all year on summer greens) are even in winter in a very excellent condition. In some places of the place is rebuilt a bit. The course will definitely be more exciting and also visually it will be a feast for the eyes. I'm looking forward to the next visit to Wall. At the moment an 18-hole round costs only 36 € at the weekend.

Draining
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 12, 2017
The course has been "drained" for several weeks. On some tracks the excavator is active. Trenches and new water hazards are created. Thus, some tracks get a new face. Let's see when that gets done and what it looks like.
Something new.

Wanted to bring my wife to golf and have selected for your place golf in Wall. The trainers were nice and competent and the whole area is very friendly and easy going.
Afterwards we looked at some clubs and decided on the atmosphere for Wall.
For beginners the crawfish space is ideal and the 18 hole course is also very interesting and partly demanding. Gastronomy and golf shop are absolutely in order. One sits wonderfully on the terrace and can enjoy the landscape. We liked it.

Geez
1.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 28, 2017
We were in Wall at some time ago playing golf and thought we had a bad day then, since the condition was then really questionable. Fairways so high that even after a good drive you had to look for a tee in the middle of the train either long or not at all.
So we tried again last week and thought, just before one of the bigger tournaments there, to play a decent patz.
Unfortunately far from it. It seems there to be the normal state of persistence.
The tee-offs were not partly mown for a long time, so that even a dug-in ball barely stood above the grass surface.
The greens are lined with tall white mushrooms and apparently also not mowed an eternity. Putten pure luck.
On the fairways partly large dandelion or whatever the plants were.
Of dried out areas, quite apart from that.
Bunkers were under water (thanks to the apparently missing drainage) and formed small lakes.
This is not necessary due to a large selection of places around Berlin, so we decided that this was our last visit there.

Round of golf for all
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed April 14, 2017
Games rather irregularly on the 9-hole course Kranich, and look forward every time that I as an amateur hammer out a few good punches on good surfaces in a varied environment. The best I like the early morning hours on Saturday / Sunday from about 8am, it's nice and quiet and fresh. Then another coffee at the bar, or a nice chat with the always friendly and competent staff in the golf shop, and the day is perfect. Soon I plan the handicap to come out the big round. For me ideal.

Unfortunately, it is here, as everywhere: there login predominantly grumblers and malcontents. My wife and I are almost since the existence of the place members. We feel good, look forward to the friendly atmosphere. Those who prefer playing in Potsdam or Wannsee Club: Here you go. Who is fair, there can complain very good. Complainers are everywhere very welcome - especially when they actively participate in club events, constructively criticize and contribute to the improvement. I / we love golfing in Wall

2.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 23, 2016
I was during my short break in the area and wanted to play in Wall. Since I am green fee players, I thought, propelled there times out. 18 holes, for 25 euros, from 17.00, is perfectly fine. Tee 17:15. Beautiful weather. Beautiful evening atmosphere. It is very quiet in the square that comes to my good. I have always been more disappointed the more I came to the holes discounts /. My wife, who accompanied me has already said: "What sort of a place do you play?" The greens were not in good condition. The way too far. Ok may be due to the landscape ever. The fairways were poor. Dry soil. No good maintenance. Push Trolley was agony Sometimes the question. How do I get to the next tee? Poor signage.
The 18th hole, which concluded at the end with PAR. Octet, you can play in Wall, but you do not.

Disappointment
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed March 26, 2016
Have the 9 hole played and was disappointed with the state of the place! From fairways can not speak! The greens were indeed ok but some web these have needed more care!
Bahn 7-8 were the only holes where the condition for a 9 hole course fit what probably was because of the 18 hole adjacent thereto and probably seek to avoid is this tracks fit into the picture!
Although the green fee is low expect a neat place otherwise the game play is equal to 0!
Recommendation: Close 9 hole or invest more! Does the condition of the course, then every golfer is willing to pay a little more for the green fee!

Customer-friendliness and handling of club members
1.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 11, 2016
Unfortunately, just rip off and no client / Club members friendliness.
Money is for this club more than sophisticated Club members.
Peanuts amounts - for losing prefer a club member.
The it must have really thick indeed. Well - there times change and were eventually glad not to lose members.
Personal interviews are not done - immediately debited money, the only thing that can. Whether the manager is aware of and he does something with willingly?
There are better golf clubs and - which are for the members there :)
Very sad - absolutely not recommended.

What Fairways
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 20, 2015
I am in Berlin, and therefore also occasionally guest player in Wall. My preferred start time is around 9-10 clock. Rarely is occupied by this "early" time registration. if it is busy, you can not get information regarding care measures, etc. As you come to talk to freshly fertilized greens and erected sprinklers that make the game to nine tracks impossible. The second nine is just freshly fertilized and conditionally playable.
The fairways are currently in a state where so many different types of grass make the game almost impossible. Vorgrüns there is not really, and if they do they consist more of sand and weeds. Even if the prices are lower than on other golf courses, there should still be a good place to record Ender. Much more is Wall developed the "Event Catering". Z. B Oktoberfest so it works best

Full game mode even in winter
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 6, 2014
The mild winter goodness has not even stopped for many, the golf season. So for me.
Unfortunately, there are many places strong constraints in the play mode. As I was told by a friend that there is still normal play mode in the Wall I wanted to now convince yourself and really the summer greens are still open and it can be "normal" played.
The place is in spite of the wet weather and but for this season apparently quite strong utilization (the parking lot was full) still in good condition. The round was a lot of fun and the staff was very friendly.
The gastronomy Although currently limited only to snacks, but I did not feel as bad in person.
The pro shop has fully opened and a very good offer.
My conclusion:
Who in the winter to play a nice round should definitely stop by in Wall.

Neat, but not a 'must play'
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 23, 2013
We have an 18 hole course last played in 2012, and thought it was not necessarily as a sporting challenge.
Flat and without trees to play the tracks back and forth, it might be-at least not personally-game set right pleasure for us.
The greens are fast, the fairways usually wide.
You can keep his ball in play relatively easily even inexperienced golfers.
Range and practice facilities are neat.
On the terrace of the club house and love to sit and the pro shop is sorted properly. We have already seen somewhere else completely different.
Our conclusion:
We played him the place and it was in view of our fellow friends, a nice round, but would not necessarily want to play there every week
