Characteristics
The course weaves it's way around the château grounds, crisscrossing it's many canals and ponds. Running through the heart of the course are the towering remains of a 16th century aqueduct built—but never finished—for Louis XIV to transport water to the fountains of Versailles.
A par-70 course measuring just over 6,000 yards, the Château de Maintenon course blends a picturesque historic setting with challenging and enjoyable golf. It caters to the needs of all golfers.

We, both with a handicap of 11, played here on September 25,2025, after a long period of rain. The golf course is a five-minute walk from the clubhouse. The balls were handed out to us right away at the reception, which is very unusual for us. The courses are exciting and very varied. There are no elevation changes, but there are a few water hazards that require strategic play. The quality of the greens is commendable. The fairways are impeccably cut; you hardly notice the clover. The price/performance ratio is definitely right. We recommend the course.

We played Chateau Maintenon in August, in the middle of the great heatwave of 2022.
The golf course was still in excellent condition: green fairways, soft carpet, perfect greens, a fair parkland course that is interesting for all skill levels.
Particularly impressive is the view from each hole of either Maintenon Castle or the ruins of a 300-year-old aqueduct.
A round of this course is an absolute "must" when visiting Brittany.
