As good as Surrey/Berkshire

This is heathland golf of the highest quality. Played here in early September 2011, did not see another player on the course, the layout is great, all birch, pine, heather, very good visual bunkering, and far from easy. Could not get a game at Les Bordes, but was not disappointed after playing here. Having played over 400 courses of all styles, heathland golf is the next best after true links...

We (Hcp 5&20) found the course (both) very nice. Surprisingly, it has similarities to GC Föhr. Lots of bunkers made the strategy exciting, greens were great, we will play the course again in 2 weeks. 150€ per person is of course not a bargain, but better than 70€ on a boring course

The course, located in the middle of nature, is flat and is dominated by many bunkers and some water. The fairways are often similarly designed, making the course monotonous. The greens are good and fast. The pre-greens seem neglected. The fairways are brown and dried out (little green sections), which makes the balls spatter.
The price is way too high at €150 even if the place was better maintained. We definitely regretted our arrival.

Challenging but fair course. Absolutely quiet. Certainly one of the most beautiful places in the region. Very well maintained club house, friendly staff, very nice golf shop. Definitely to be recommended.
