Very average golf course
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 25, 2016
Played Saint Cyprien on 25 July 2016. First impression is that the course is rather worn and tired. Some tees are good, others very poor. Farways are genarally good. Bunkers are excellent and well looked after. But what really lets the course down are the greens.
They look like they are diseased. All are effected, some really badly. Putting is a lottery. I asked in the pro shop after the round if the greens were always like this, and I got a resounding 'yes' from both people behind the counter simultaneously. Not sure if they were just sick of complaints or their response was true..
It's a shame really because the layout has a lot going for it. Best to walk this course if it's not too hot. I used a buggy and it was a bumpy old ride from green to tee and from tee to fairway.
Can't really recommend this one to be honest.

Dried up

We played the 9 hole course. Positive: Dogs are allowed..
Negative: Course in poor, dried-out condition, too expensive with €50 green fee.

GULF ST CYPRIA
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 13, 2023
The course is wonderfully fitted into the landscape in front of the magnificent backdrop of the Pyrenees. Lots of water, correspondingly lots of reeds, grasses and rushes. There are lots of pine and tamarisk trees, the fairways are wide and the greens are in good condition. The fairways are absolutely dry, like the whole area. We didn't mind. The frequent wind conditions are difficult, we had 6-7 wind forces. We will be back.

Driving range
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 6, 2021
The place itself is quite nice, the grass is pretty dry, but given the climate, you can't expect lush greenery. But that on the range can only be practiced from mats and there are no tees on the mats is quite an impertinence. In addition, you can't get anything to eat in the restaurant after 3 p.m.

Wanted to play the course today and have unfortunately only found out on site that dogs are not allowed. No rating because we did not play the course.

Decreased a lot over the years

Worth a journey in the 90s. Was there about 20x. Apartment directly on the golf course. Apartments and space are not in the best condition.
