A splendid challenge
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 27, 2017
This is a great track. Fairly tight fairways and some greens are small but its an absolute pleasure to play. Every hole is different with some nice dog legs both ways, and long and short holes. Greens are well contoured and roll very nicely. The course was in great nick in June 2017. Only negative was the cart paths. Most were poor at best and in some places decidedly dodgy. Not a problem if you use shanks's pony.
Didn't detract from the golf so its 5 star. Very nice lunch menu in the club house. Great service all round at Seignosse. Recommended.

Excellent course

Played this course in august, and it was in very good condition. It is a quite narrow, challenging and beatiful forest course with many strategic water hazards. Definately one of the best courses in France

Highlight in the region

Played on 9/16/24. The club with its 18 parkland fairways is located 35km north of Biarritz in a forest area in the fine town of Seignosse. There are villas parallel to the fairways, but they don't bother you. From the first parking lot, it's a few meters to the clubhouse/restaurant (not in use), which is a bit old. The reception is in the adjacent building in the pro shop. We were given a friendly welcome here as guests. It is essential to reserve tee times in advance. When we played on a Monday in September, one flight of four after the other started until late afternoon. The speed of play was accordingly 5 hours. Before tee 1, the players' tee times are displayed on an electronic scoreboard. The 2021 green fee stated on the homepage is no longer correct. The current price in high season is €105. I recommend booking through the Landes Golf Pass. You get a 10% discount there. I also recommend a cart for those who are not quite as athletic, as the course is constantly up and down and some of the paths to the next tee are a bit longer. The fairways are mostly flat, but there are some elevated tees where you keep going up. In return, you get very nice views of the fairways and the landscape from above. The fairways are laid out in a varied way. Rather unusual for a parkland course, there are also some tricky water hazards. There are also doglegs, well-placed bunkers, raised greens and lots of trees on the edge of the fairways. Precise play can't hurt. High HCs should take a few more balls with them on the round. Tee boards provide information about the course. Three of the four PAR3s are very short. Finally, there is a tough PAR 6 for the men on hole 18. What there aren't any toilets on the course. The overall condition of the course was not outstanding, but good. There were a few bare spots on some of the fairways. The greens were perfect and in some places nicely undulated. Playing here is definitely a highlight in the region, hence a good 4 stars.

We, HCPI 11 + 9, played on September 27th, 2022 in the rain. The place was in good condition. Peter wrote everything relevant. We had a local player in the flight who showed us the way. The place is sporty, you can still play well with hand trolleys. We will be back.

Nice golf, slow game
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 29, 2018
Very nice classic golf course perfectly embedded in a forest on a high 4 * level. very hilly and wavy but good to walk feasible. the bunker (mediocre sand) and the water hazards are in the right place. the place is challenging, varied good in the shot and probably pleases every golfer. However, the course description / marking could be greatly improved.
The place is certainly not under 4.5 hours. to play, (rather more, in france you take it( definitely too) comfortable ...).
The 19th hole offers a very good restaurant. unfortunately, the kitchen closes at 15.30. - ie who plays at 11h is definitely hungry for home.

Sporting challenge

We played this excellent place in May and September 2017. The condition, especially the greens outstanding. Very fast and onduliert. Enge faitways that require a strategic game. Iron is usually better advised. The place is very hilly and has some long ways between the discounts. Just in time to reserve a tea is essential! Nice game

Super narrow space

The course is on the design of a stunner. What I did not like are the trees that have always come into play, despite good punch. The 18 is now a pair. 6

Anyone who thinks there is here on the coast no hills, which must be taught a lesson! It's quite up and down and you're in warm weather quite exhausted after 18 holes! However, the round is definitely worth. There are very varied tracks, exact match is required here. The course is in excellent condition! If you are here in the area and want to play golf, then this place is recommended in any case!

Demand accurate play
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 4, 2013
The course was in excellent condition. Not easy to play, the narrow fairways, which are bounded on both sides by forest or Auslinien. This place almost all the holes a real challenge only the par-3 tracks are classified as relatively easy.
