Characteristics
Founded in 1897, Golf de Dieppe-Pourville holds the title of the oldest golf course in Normandy. Perched high upon the white cliffs of the Alabaster Coast, the course offers spectacular views of landscapes once painted by Monet and Braque. Designed by Willy Park Jr., this 18-hole layout is a technical challenge where coastal winds often dictate strategy. The "Top of the Cliff" setting provides a unique atmosphere between sky and sea, complemented by comprehensive practice facilities and a welcoming clubhouse restaurant.

Definitely worth a round

No. 1 to 3 is a leisurely warm-up before things really get down to business. No. 4 and 5 are a golfer's dream - very classy! note: at no. 4 really think carefully about how to play this hole optimally, then it's a pleasure. simply hitting it will be a disaster.
From no. 6 the place is undulating and entertaining, often quite closely surrounded by old trees.
The greens are good and fast, slightly undulating but often sloping as a whole. fairways good. Not too many obstacles - bunkers are rather small, but there is now and then a big tree in the middle of the fairway.
The place would give a solid 3.5*. The staff in the pro shop is rather unprofessional and uninterested. The 19th hole offers pretty good food but only between 12 and 2 p.m. At 2:01 p.m. *sharp* the kitchen is closed. Hard to believe on a golf course. and on Wednesday the shop is completely closed.

Unfortunately we played this course during a storm. Nevertheless, we were extremely surprised by the very varied courses. Large parts of the square are reminiscent of a parkland course. The other part has open lanes. The condition was convincing with fast greens. A good recommendation.

The Uralteplatz goes up and down slightly and, despite the parkland atmosphere, plays pretty links golf!
