Very nice, but not too much grass

The setting and shape of this course is really fantastic and unique. First holes are in the forest, later you move out around through the dunes with wavy surface. Even strong winds from the sea do not interfere with your balls. I missed decently green fairways, grass is not available all along the holes. Bunkers are rare but you always find sand if you want to practice. 50 Euro per adult on a weekday and 45 for the cart.

The course can essentially be divided into three distinct sections. Holes 1 through 8 are a parkland course on sandy soil, followed by a links course amidst imposing dunes, and finally, a few rather uninspired holes tacked on. A particularly haphazard approach was taken by cutting a wild swath through the woods for the par 6. Furthermore, the final holes pass by a Pierre & Vacances holiday village. Nice houses, but also a lot of noise.
We enjoyed the middle section the most; it was varied and challenging. We'd love to do more! However, even here we were denied a view of the coast. Considering the drought, the course was in satisfactory condition, and the large greens were in very good shape.

... but which lags behind the left-hand golf classics Le Touquet and Hardelot and also behind Wimereux in terms of golf. There are individual fantastic holes, many good ones, but also holes that seem a bit artificial. Wind is always at play (even in the forest) and, as expected, makes choosing a club difficult. Definitely recommended by Weiss for single-digit players. The par 6 (#16) was set very far forward and was actually a normal, albeit longer, par 5. The paths between the (presumably younger) holes on the second nine are sometimes quite long. The greens are beautifully laid out and sometimes very difficult. Unfortunately, the condition of the greens at the end of March was even more wintry than elsewhere. Although there must have been a lot of rain given the many “temporary water” areas on the course. Overall, a very entertaining place that definitely justifies the visit, green fee of €55 is absolutely ok.
