Very impressive

I just recently visited the golf resourt. I was amazed how well the course was maintained and how fast the greens were. And the course is still young. But above all, the renovated Schloss is astonishing! I can recommend it highly.

What a course!

This is a truly unique golf-course: nice on the eyes formidably situated and the elevations are marvelous; Often thinking the incline is rather steep, I was riddled at the speed of the ball at these locations. Very good variations throughout the different holes. Water hazards are present but avoidable. I have visited the course 5 times and will hopefully return when I have business near Berlin. The hotel and staff are excellent.

Golf at the Castle on the Polish border

Played on 8/13/2022. The absolutely flat 18-hole golf course with the castle/hotel is approx. 12 km from the A20, just behind the Brandenburg state border. It is not far to the Polish border and so you can see one or the other car with Polish license plates in the parking lot. Only at lanes 10 to 12 can you hear and see a car on the Dorfstrasse, otherwise the facility is in absolute peace and nature. To get from the Autobahn to Krugsdorf, you drive through the town of Pasewalk and can stock up on some food there before or after the round. First of all, it should be said that there is "only" the 18-hole crane course here and no other 9-hole course. A 6-hole course is shown on the score card, but I didn't see it and there is no mention of it on the homepage either. The place is operated by the castle administration. At the reception of the Schlosshotel you pay your green fee and receive the score card. There is a driving range, but it is a bit away from the parking lot/lock on green 1/tee 2. You need tokens there. There is a machine that changes euro bills from €5 into corresponding tokens. About the place you can say that from my point of view the tracks were not created monotonously by the design. On the contrary, I found them varied. There are doglegs, water hazards, relatively few but well placed bunkers. On the 8th and 17th you have to play over a moat before the green. I also found the layout of one or the other stone wall interesting. The absolute challenge is the extremely high rough on the right and left of almost all fairways. However, since most of the fairways are relatively open, only extremely twisted shots are punished accordingly with ball loss. What was a pure disaster is the condition of the fairways. Not only that there is hardly any irrigation, the fairways were bone dry and brown almost everywhere. They were also extremely overgrown with dandelions. They were playable, but it wasn't nice. However, the greens were almost without exception impeccable and the bunkers were well maintained. The haircuts were rather mixed again and only partially watered and therefore green, albeit partly with clover instead of grass. And the paths between the tees were rather bumpy and suboptimal. You can book a start time on the homepage (could be better and contain more information, e.g. a specified table), but I didn't need it even after a previous request by e-mail (was answered quickly). The number of golfers on the course at my game on a sunny Saturday afternoon could be counted on two hands. And so I was able to start playing on my own as soon as I arrived. However, I was surprised when I suddenly saw two triple flights on lanes 10 and 11, which apparently had started on lane 10. But I was let through immediately without hesitation. The green fee is currently €60.50 for 18 holes every day, so very cheap for a weekend game. For 75 € you can also solve a daily green fee. There are no sundowner discounts or similar, but there is also no surcharge for golfers without a hologram on their DGV ID card. By the way, the rather busy lady at the reception didn't even want to see my DGV ID. Of course, the castle also has a restaurant. But I couldn't use that because a wedding was taking place at the same time. In the basement of the castle are the sanitary rooms, which have been modernized at times. Overall, a recommendation could be made if the fairways were in a "normal" condition, but the condition is currently rather borderline and a further journey "only" to play golf here should be considered.

3 great days with Florian

We had a professional and at the same time relaxed training. We were able to immediately implement Florian's calm manner, his helpful explanations for the small mistakes that had crept in and the tips for a better game. Motivated by the immediate success and after a short break with ice-cold drinks, we immediately added 9 more holes. We'll be back and bring other golf friends who will attend Florian's handicap course. All places suffer from the drought. A conversation with a greenkeeper on the home pitch brings a whole new perspective. And if you can't cope with the vegetation, you don't have to face the challenge. We loved it.

You can save yourself this trip

HC 15 & 10 Tee time reservation not necessary, as only a few get lost here.
Poorly maintained place, many holes on the fairway or resembles a field. Bumpy, bad roads, all of this certainly not only because of the lack of rain in the region.
Greens with a lot of weeds and a lot of dry spots. Putting is pure luck. Bunker extremely hard.
Unprofessional leadership, Secretariat can not provide any information and is uninterested. We even had to ask various questions about information about tournaments in order to get an answer.
Never again!

Oh dear...

Played in August 2020, handicap 12

The place was unfortunately in a pretty poor condition in August.
Trees (very few) and bushes have grown a little in the ten years since it opened - but it's still essentially a bare meadow. (You can like it, but you don't have to - it's just a matter of taste.) Individual tracks are hardly remembered, they are very similar - you look for real highlights in vain.

The rough is "deadly", but mostly very far away from the fairways and also set fairly as a "penalty area". The tees are OK, the bunker edges are rough, but the bunkers are easy to play due to the very good, loose sand.

HOWEVER:
The greens are incredibly bumpy and have a completely inconsistent speed. Mold stains still and still and the cup stitch so “successful” that the ball not only suddenly stops at the edge of the hole, but even bounces back from there! In addition, the flags are often put really unfairly in a slope, so that it either means "middle of hole, ball falls" or at least 2m back put.

The so-called “fairways” come in two versions: hard sand, optionally with a few burned blades of grass or even tufts, or clover. Full, deep, extensive. You just have to look for your ball on the “fairway”, as elsewhere in poorly maintained semi-rough, and then somehow chop it out.

Positive:
The whole area is wonderfully quiet and hardly used at least at the time of our visit. The price for the booked package - overnight stay in the small suite (two rooms and bathroom - unfortunately no refrigerator, but two televisions) with recommendable lavish breakfast, dinner, green fee and ½ cart) is reasonable at EUR 132, - / person.

The cart is comfortable, but not really needed - the system is really VERY flat.

Conclusion: Even with a very good maintenance condition, a maximum of 3 stars would be allowed for this place - as it presented itself to us, it is barely enough for 2 (also because of the consistently very nice service in the secretariat and gastro). (In the "Golf Bear Ranking": 3 out of 10 points.)

2020

The previous evening's meal was mixed. The ambience, however, was great. The course would be even more fun if the fairways weren't mowed as a first cut.
The cake after the round of golf was excellent.

For me, the discovery of the summer of 2018

Castle Krugsdorf

We were for a weekend in castle Krugsdorf for golfing and relaxing.
The offer for a weekend package was very cheap, the reviews of both the hotel and the golf course were mixed from "great" to "well", so we went with slightly mixed feelings. In advance, I had a surcharge in the (15, - € per person and after) booked a room in the castle (suite).
The offer includes Tagesgreenfee for 3 days (including the day of arrival), 2 B & B and once a 3-course menu and once barbecue. The whole thing for a really amazing price, so we said in the end, we just try it. It can not be that bad.
The journey in glorious weather leads through Vorpommersche landscapes, hilly with already quite brown meadows and fields on which the straw wheels are scattered, as if Dalí has designed a landscape - beautiful.
The arrival in Krugsdorf Friday evening around 17 o'clock and we were already positively surprised, how beautiful the castle (in the past probably a mansion?) From the outside looks - and from the inside even more. An old house with creaking floorboards and stairs, feudal and cozy. The front desk friendly and competent. Our room in the castle huge, the bathroom as well, the double bed composed of 2 single beds, but very comfortable and comfortable hard mattresses. There is no safe in the room (which probably speaks for security) and (unfortunately) no fridge, but the tropical temperatures are not normal. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning, which made the tropical night a bit warmer.
Before we were surprised by a wonderful dinner, which we took on the very cozy castle terrace, the 3 course menu turned out to be extremely delicious and wonderfully prepared. The service in the castle is just as warm, friendly, very attentive and almost familiar, but rarely did I feel so well cared for.
At the same time, the Pro asked us for an information evening, the following day (Saturday) was supposed to be a night tournament, to which people were specially arrived - with a glass of sparkling wine, we were informed about the game (only from 17 o'clock a 9-hole Tournament, then grill buffet, and from 10pm, when it gets really dark, a 5 hole Texas scramble with illuminated balls on illuminated 5 fairways). Sound was tempting and included in our weekend package. So we decided to participate. Altogether there were 6 flights to 3 persons each, so quite manageable.
In the hotel many Scandinavians (Sweden & Danes) and Germans, overall the hotel was quite well visited. Opposite the castle there is a modern guest house with other rooms. There is also the breakfast taken.
At about 10 pm we went to our room and spent a very warm night despite the open window - well, the summer of 2018 really has it all.
The breakfast in the guest house was rich and adequate, from the scrambled eggs with bacon and sausage to fresh fruit everything is there what your heart desires. The only drawback here - for coffee lovers is the automatic cover from the Nespresso machine rather nothing, both the cappuccino and the latte macchiato are much too hot and too bitter, that goes elsewhere much better. It may be due to the machine (setting?) Or the coffee used, unfortunately I did not agree with that. The rest is but for a breakfast buffet completely okay and you will definitely be full!
So strengthened, we went to the round of golf right on the doorstep, for the 18-hole crane course you need no start time, the place was amazingly green, varied and quite tricky to play. Again and again, water comes into play, the beats in the (quite slow) green want to be played precisely, the discounts should not be too far out of the way, otherwise threatened loss of ball! Due to the extreme heat, all had their umbrellas stretched to protect themselves from the sun. The place is flat and easy to walk, overall it was a wonderfully comfortable round with very interesting and beautiful tracks!
Back on the castle terrace, there was a refreshing drink and nice conversations with other guests before retiring to be fit for the evening. Before the tournament there was a strengthening (the apple pie super delicious, the iced coffee as well, and here in the castle, the coffee tastes very good!). From 17 clock we were then allowed to try the second 9 against Stableford, the respective result should then be supplemented with the group result of the night golf Scrambles to select a winner. After less than 2 hours we were back on the terrace, where a sumptuous barbecue buffet awaited us, we beat our bellies fully and waited for the darkness. Unfortunately, this was then brightened by the weather lights and lightning, the night tournament was ultimately canceled for completely correct safety reasons, we were allowed just before the onset of rain only every one hit the ball of light on the green of the 9 - which made great desire for more! Too bad that this event certainly did not take place as a highlight, there was immediately afterwards (it went to midnight) the funny award ceremony and the reliance on another attempt with the night tournament in September or just in 2019.
Well after midnight, the round broke up and everyone went to bed.
On the Sunday after breakfast (unfortunately deductions for the coffee) we checked out, paid our drinks and the package and stored our luggage in the car, while we played another round on the beautiful crane course. In the morning it was a bit cooler after the thunderstorms of the night before, but it was soon sunny again and quite hot. So, whether the ball was looking for its cool wet on 18?
After the round, a delicious meal on the sunny terrace, then take a shower in the changing rooms (attention - bring shower gel! Towels are available at the front desk) and then we left with the conclusion that we have spent a wonderful weekend and come back safely!
My stars:
Hotel in general *** (5 of 5) *** (3 out of 5, especially since I lack fridge and climate, and the room should be cleaned in the afternoon, which was too late for us, so we canceled it). Maybe next time in the guest house?
Service, Staff *** (actually 6 out of 5)
Golf course *** (incredible care in the heat, very slow greens)

Hotel and restaurant top - place with air up

Room is really nice and varied.
The state of care suggests that the money here was scarce: Fairways too high mown, a lot of weeds, fertilizer is missing. Greens need urgently the care, but can be properly putt. With loving care and the appropriate means should be in a few weeks to catch up again.
The food in the restaurant is excellent as well as the breakfast. Room small but chic. In view of the prices really extraordinarily good.

Place unfortunately very dehydrated!!!

Have played the course on 08.01.2016.
The green fee is reasonable 49 €. Staff in the Secretariat very friendly, no birdie book and score card on paper printed DIN A 4. haircuts a little uneven, fairways sometimes very dry and hard and the greens were aerifiziert recently. Otherwise, the course is fair, we all balls actually retrieves.
Conclusion: In this state, you do not have to go back there, but would still give the place a second chance.

Beautiful Place

Have played the square end of August for the first time. Pleasant to play, the greens and the fairways were in good condition and well maintained - not a foregone conclusion at the end of a dry summer. Not understand the statement in an earlier review, the distances between the holes are too far. Merely between nine and ten of the road was a bit further, but to be going well.

Relaxing break, sporty and delicious

We were on the last weekend in jug village and can only say: ... "Luckily the German countries Klan is gone there"!
After this, the plant has not been maintained as previous operators should have the end of 2014, the new operator (Dutch) is really very very effort to make the guests law.
The square corresponds to the data of the previous entries and is classified as a sporty interesting, but doable for everyone. The greens require intensive care, so that they leave the place again shine. But we think that is later than June 2015. feasible.
The change of operator has brought moreover a kitchen top with it. We have excellent reason alone lock is powered Krug village worth a visit.
We had great weather, and a genuinely relaxing weekend.
We'll be back... Later this year :)

Place 5 stars, hotel 3

Place: it is a kind of links course with some water, vorAlem the first 9 are strongly swamp Accented with narrow fairways, the Uhrglasartig fall to the numerous water hazards laterally. Clear advantage, who can play the ball straight! FAST EVEN THOUGH fungus infested with Gruen's difficult to assess undulations. Long hitters will despair here often and should pack plenty of balls. Really good place, long lines of communication can be recommended Cart although the place is completely flat.
Hotel ;: High standards, something duenne consideration. DZ tiny, so-called. FAMILY ROOM but are more spacious visually but use modern technology unfavorably furnished, close bathroomwith bad shelves, not well planned. Breakfast performance well below average, which deals with HP you should save, to be called. 4 course meal consisted of a salad arid, Topfchen a soup, a main dishes and greasy and a tiny dessert. Here Schmalhans is uechenmeister. PLAYING they pass by the place in, is our advice.

We arrived at night and a great weekend haten

We were there the end of June 2013, and despite the mixed weather we played the course once and 3x the 18-hole short course. The golf course is very nice, but urges the player. Because we repeatedly narrow fairways and water hazards. But that's probably the "icing on the cake", or! We can only recommend and everything was as we were there in a great state of the hotel, food, golf course and service. Who wants to see more here is a little video for our weekend trip:

Great facility

We were in the summer of 2012 over a weekend in jug village and could play on the court in three days. In sunny weather with morning mist, we enjoyed the spacious grounds. Chipping and putting can be on a really large area. Also, the range is great.
De fairways are wide, but still have a high demand. There are many water hazards, which are, however, to cope with high HC player when she plays around tactically. Low HC are there already demanded clear if one wants to screw his score down.
The rooms in the hotel are stylish and you can eat there also good and at reasonable prices.
Unfortunately Proshop is not available... there was not even a logo ball However, the latter was the only point of criticism in the grounds.

We arrive in 2013 definitely more to a relaxed EASONS over.

Beautiful place, wonderful greens: a recommendation

The course is in good condition, maybe a little dry. The greens are absolutely true. Putting is a joy. Probably because of the grass species.
The practice area is generous, the 6-hole course is oke.
We have a week may enjoy the hotel and the area. It certainly was not the last time

Relaxed Golfing ind the Ice Age landscape

We played 3 rounds on the weekend less stressful. The atmosphere in the club was absolutely relaxed. Very interesting, we found the water hazards that fit wonderfully recreated as glacial moraine with huge boulders to the Randower glacial valley and stand out from the usual design of the water courses. If the vegetation is supplemented with glazialtypischen companies shrub, flowers and trees, village pitcher can become one of the most original golf courses in the region. Sporty varied and challenging. The attached hotel very neat and pleasantly decorated the restaurant, but a more interesting offer culinary might have. Somewhat awkward to shower - the only bath towels for a fee and a deposit. Overall, however, very neat and cheap.

Open Tournament Golf Course

We were at the inaugural tournament here and are thrilled with the wonderful scenic golf course situated. The course is varied and despite the many water hazards a fair, well playable for any handicap space. All staff in the clubhouse were very knowledgeable and courteous. We are in the hotel (very clean and stylishly furnished) like to use this place yet öffters games and the nights again.
