We have played in May 2014 and the Bermuda grass was tough. During weather delays we used the excellent restaurant.

Hole 18 is a stunning end of a great course. There are lot of water hazards and be prepared to lose some balls. Played mid October and at that time water hazards was fully loaded. Even tough weather was perfect, the course could not drain more water. So fairways was quite wet and there was no roll at all. A lot of plugged balls. Greens was very good and other facilities (range, restaurant etc) great.
There is no need at all for golf car at this course. It is flat and very easy walking.

Well kept course however because it was the end of summer when I played (14 Sep) most water hazards had run dry reducing charme and difficulty of the course. Greens and fairways however were in great condition.

We really like the course, it's easy to play and not too demanding. Beautiful parkland, well maintained and signposted.
Great gastronomy, you should plan for it.

We played Le Pavoniere twice at the beginning of October in fantastic late summer weather and were completely satisfied. Long and demanding course, fair, very well maintained and quite manageable on foot. Also playable for higher handicaps. Gorgeous landscape.
Criticisms: as is often the case in Italy, a few very loud and undisciplined members who squeeze in without tea time and staff in the good club restaurant who perceive guests as a nuisance but warm up after a few Italian chunks. Le Pavoniere is incredibly difficult to get to from southern Florence, so aim for the square if you're coming from Prato.
