Characteristics
The hilly terrain of the Welser heath gives the course a sportive character. A special challenge pose the eight ponds and the Wyer creek, which has to be played across twice. The many strategically placed bunkers cause an additional increase of the level of difficulty.

In 2021 the course was very wet, see my review in this regard, this year the fairways were extremely hard and in some places badly "burnt". Many bare patches due to heat damage - fairway irrigation?
Fairway 1 is now in great condition, extremely difficult due to a stream in the fairway area, trees on the left, out of bounds on the right and you shouldn't be too long or too short to be able to play to the green.
Bunkers easy to play, greens impeccable, fast and true to the line.
A perfect course, unfortunately the fairways were burnt.

Fairways and bunkers are sometimes heavily under water, so we look forward to dry conditions again.
