Characteristics
This course is situated between meadows and fields, embedded in a romantic area high above the Kinzig Valley. The first glance from the terrace of the clubhouse already offers a magnificent view on the Hohen Vogelsberg and the Taunus mountains. The course is characterised by a high, old stock of trees, water hazards and well placed bunkers. Each fairway has a name that hints at the scenic and historic background.

Play golf in natural surroundings

Founded by local golf enthusiasts in 1972 this golf course has developed into one of the best to be found in Germany today. It is situated in the Spessart hills at a height of about 1500 ft amongst the original trees and landscape with natural water hazards that also serve to supply the course irrigation. Golfers of any handicap will find the 18 holes a demanding challenge that provide a holiday feeling in the fresh mountain air.
At the end of an exhilarating round of golf and to complete your day there is nothing better than to find a clubhouse with a terrace looking out over the course and the surrounding countryside to the distant mountains and to be served by the friendly waiters with excellent food and drinks. One is tempted to enjoy this day to the full.

It's a shame the board hates nature. So many large trees were cut down. Right next to the entrance below the terrace on hole 10, tree stumps were lined up as a reception area. The same thing happened at many other holes. Why? Supposedly, so golfers can get a beautiful view of the valley from the restaurant. The interested observer looks across the valley and sees the armada of wind turbines that are spoiling the Spessart. Anyone who enjoys lush greenery will be disappointed by this golf course. Especially since there was no sign of new trees being planted after this brutal clearing operation.

A golf course in the beautiful Spessart. The facility blends wonderfully into the landscape, no noise from cars, trains or planes.
The course is more challenging than it looks and you tend to underestimate some of the courses.
The condition of the facility at the beginning of October was good to very good.
Very friendly reception, bag tags and scorecard were already prepared due to the booking over the phone.
We received excellent and quick service in the restaurant, we liked the food and it was good value for money.
