A Canadian Perspective!

In the past, I was a member of this excellent Club and found the course to be a fabulous challenge... The staff were fantastic and very accommodating to me , "the Auslander".
When I read a comment from a poster that is negative, the first thing that comes to mind is that person can't play golf very well or they just had a poor round... if he or she had played better they would have posted a positive comment..." It's Golf for Pete Sake... Keep your head down or you will see a Bad Shot!

We played in September, a wonderful quiet course with old trees including visits from storks, very friendly secretariat, the fairways and greens are amazing, they have nothing to fear from comparison in Germany. We played the course this week and we really liked it. A wonderful parkland course with great trees and lightning-fast greens (we needed a few holes to get used to it). The greens were not optically perfect, a few dark spots, but because they were so fast you can't really call these spots disturbing - a flight partner managed a 20m putt across the green. Overall a very nice place, a nice clubhouse with good service - only the pro shop didn't quite meet our requirements.

However, a participant in the senior’s tournament (2-person flight) came rushing in from behind with his car and rudely indicated that we really had no business here, we shouldn't have been allowed to start, and they'd like to play through! We did it for the sake of peace, but the mood was increasingly bad! The follow-up flight came 45 minutes (!!) after us to hole 18.
