Characteristics
Since 1950 golf has been played in the palace garden of the Princes of Bentheim and Steinfurt. The former main guardhouse, a building from the 18th century, now serves as clubhouse. The park was arranged, Versaille-style, as a French pleasure garden. Only those who play with long and straight strokes will have an undimmed sense of achievement as the forest and many old single trees can be the doom of many a longhitter.

One of the best 9 hole courses I have ever seen!
Old large trees in a charming park.

So in terms of design you are dealing with a classic, old parking lot that was built here around 1950. Layout and design are typical for this time, but without a big tralala they are very successful! Now to the absolutely special features:
1. The clubhouse looks like an old bath house around 1900!
2. At the 3 you play towards the beautiful moated castle! (quite unique in Germany) 3. I know only a few places in Germany that have such solitary giant trees on the fairways, an eye-catcher!
4. The flair and charm is omnipresent on the round!
All in all, the old 9 hole course really leaves a lasting impression, so plan when you are in the area!

A great 9 hole golf course that should not be underestimated. Narrow fairways, always surrounded by walkers and spectators (close to the city center) with good Portuguese gastronomy. Green fee as a daily green fee absolutely OK, very cheap range. RV friendly :)
The most beautiful hole in the Münsterland is aimed at the castle in Steinfurt.
