First class from start to finish

If I could I would give 6 stars. A real golfer's highlight! The reception in the secretariat was super friendly, the historic facility was impressive with its history and first-class condition, and of course the excellently maintained course, which offers everything a golfer's heart desires.
All in all it was a real experience! Ignore the score... ;-)
We were able to take our dog with us, stand in the parking lot with the mobile home and play 2 for 1 with the Albrecht golf guide. More is not possible. We will be back definitely!

I (HCP 20) play this course regularly and love the open but sophisticated architecture. The 2.3, 4 and 5 clearly challenge me with my medium handicap, but are still easy to play with a bogey. And the 6 requires decisiveness: Risky across the water or on the slope with the prospect that the ball will bounce onto the green (or not). A lot of variety is required.
I find the 16, par 3.170 meters alone completely wrong. Due to the bunker right in front of the green and the raff behind it, I don't have a shot that I can use to reach the green. Oh yes: The small tree in front of the tee of the 7 also regularly annoys me!
In summer the pitch was a bit brown and hard, but many pitches had that problem in summer 22.
Secretariat Franconian rustic and warm, pro shop reduced to the bare essentials. Driving range okay, but the tee areas look like a field after plowing.
Gastronomy Bavarian top, since this year with a new team the service has also improved again.

On our camper tour 2022, we also chose this place based on the descriptions here and - everything was really right here. From the very friendly phone call to book a start time for the following day, the (positive) answer to the question as to whether you could spend a night in the parking lot with the camper in advance, to the information that the restaurant was closed on Monday and you that's why it's better to eat something in Münnerstadt or Bad Neustadt, if you like. So we first went to Bad Neustadt to eat (Francesco happened to be open on Monday and we were lucky) and then to the parking lot of the GC. The sanitary facilities are also open in the evenings anyway, so we were able to visit the beautiful clubhouse before we went to bed, which was very quiet. There was a thunderstorm at night, so "fresh" green was to be expected.
Check-in and greeting on the day of the game were also very friendly, and so the two of us started the round. The square is divided into 2 interesting sections. The first 9 run around a larger area with arable land, so that you don't have a branch line. The back nine is more "classic" with lanes that sometimes run next to each other. All very nice and interesting tracks, wide fairways, fairly fixed greens. The semi-rough is also quite dense due to the rain and therefore brakes strongly, but the fairways would actually have been wide enough... Overall, a very successful layout, lanes that you don't forget so quickly, great maintenance condition. Water comes into play on some holes, for example on the 6 (par 5) with an interesting allusion to the green, but it also goes uphill, for example on hole 11 (par 3) with 170m it is even quite steep. We had fun on the round, from hole 13 a friendly single player ran up, who we took with us. A great round.
The food afterwards tasted very good, the service was very nice and we also felt warmly welcomed by the other members at the tables.
It should also be mentioned here that the sanitary facilities were in top condition, as well as that there is art to be admired "in the Rindhof" - around the former monastery complex.
Overall a great facility that is worth more than just a visit!
