Characteristics
The course was built on the 110 ha large area of the formerly flooded meadows between the Boer and Menzelfeld canals. The crossing trenches were connected with ponds, pools and trenches so that almost every hole and every green is surrounded by water. Because of the many water hazards and fairway bunkers as well as the modelled greens, the course is considered a "golfing jewel" in the East Westphalian region. It is a must for every golfer.

Golf bookings are not working

Well, we booked tee times weeks in advance! Red and Blue teams also inquired a day in advance about whether the time would work, etc.
Unfortunately after red, blue was not playable because it was a women's tournament.
Although upon arrival we were asked again what we should play first, blue or red.
So after red, we had to play yellow. Well, that one is probably pretty boring.
It's a shame, because the combination of all the water and other things is what makes the place so appealing. It's very annoying for guests who travel 150 km. Booking went better at the sites we booked before and after. We were no longer in the mood for food.

The course (played on both the blue and red holes) presented itself with great variety and, as mentioned many times, a lot of water. It was nevertheless playable, helped by the extremely wide fairways. The bunkers were also rarely in play.
The greens came along quite quickly and were true to the line.
All in all, a nice day of golf that we will repeat.

Great place, club office and catering not recommended

We were there with a golf group (16 people) that had been announced several times. Tee times were from 9 a.m. and several carts were reserved in advance.
The club office didn't open until 9:05 a.m. The employee seemed to take the delay for granted and to be normal. We weren't able to get in before the round (no tokens available) or pick up the reserved carts in time. No apology or anything else from the employee. Unfortunately, we weren't able to start our round until late.
This is not how a golf club should receive its announced guests.
The course, apart from the bunkers, is well maintained and interestingly designed with numerous water hazards.
After a lovely round of golf, another disappointment. Like the club office, the catering staff was unfriendly and a little overwhelmed. Orders were taken late and somewhat reluctantly. Guests are not really given a hospitable welcome at GC Lippstadt. It's a shame, otherwise the course would have deserved more stars.
