Poor condition

Played course before and found it lovely. This summer the greens were appalling, tee boxes overgrown and fairways inconsistent. Buggy hire overpriced, 50 euros per round. No advise received regarding condition and no green fee reduction offered. Never again. Hotel good but expensive drinks.

A nice change in the forest

About 3 km before the golf course, you pass the training grounds of Internazionale di Milano on the approach. You could also mistake this for the entrance, but you have not yet reached your destination.

The course itself is located in the forest and is easy to walk for sporty golfers. The path from green 9 to tee 10 is longer. The 2nd nine are much more modern and flatter than the front ones.

The location in the forest means that many tees have too little grass. This also applies to some fairways. This did not bother us. The many damages caused by wild boars should not go unmentioned.

The greens are relatively small, but in good condition and true to the course. Water only comes into play on hole 10.

Varied and exciting

Place:
Very varied layout of holes in a wooded, hilly area. We were able to start just ahead of a larger group and finished the course in 3:10 as a pair. Wonderful!

Condition:
The fairways and greens were mostly in very good condition. The grass was left a little too long, so that the very wet ground made it almost impossible for the balls to roll. The bunkers were hard after heavy rainfall and some were still filled with water - but the greenkeepers were out with pumps to make them playable again. Only the tees looked a little overgrown in places, but they were still playable.

Staff:
Friendly, efficient. Only one of the greenkeepers was annoying because he "accompanied" us on holes 2-8 and started mowing the tee boxes just as we were teeing off.

Restaurant:
Also friendly and efficient - and good. Very pleasant location on the terrace and under the trees. Price is OK.

Generally:
For €80 on weekdays, it's good value for money. The last few kilometers of the journey are a bit adventurous, but no problem. Watch out for thieves! Don't leave any trolleys on the edge of the fairway. The adjacent forest is a popular hiding place for thieves...
