Extended to fit 36 holes, this course is rated as charming and technically sophisticated. The Göttingen Course set up on an undulating terrain requires a good physical condition, and the highlight of the recently-opened Niedersachsen Course is the integration of the heraldic animal of the counts of Hardenberg in the course - the Par-3 green features the head of a male boar. Further characteristics of the course are a dry biotope, a canyon, open orchard meadows, etc. The 6-hole Public Course with a yardage of 1,000 yds is open to the public.

In my not-so-long golfing career, I've experienced about 20 courses so far. And the "Göttingen" was clearly the most beautiful and exciting of all. It's at least as steep as the Alpine courses I've known; it goes up and down. If you don't know your way around, you'll quickly end up in one of the deep bunkers. No matter; it was a lot of fun. Next time we'll try the "Niedersachsen" course.

I enjoyed a wonderful day of golf. I played the Lower Saxony course for the first time on September 3rd in perfect weather.
From the very first contact with the golf course, when registering, the staff were very friendly and competent. This also applied to the marshal and the green keepers.
I have never seen a huge practice area and two driving ranges anywhere else.
The course is very varied with a great layout. What I particularly liked were the many little things on the course that make it so special. For example, the many stone walls on the fairways or in front of the greens (e.g. holes 4 and 5), the raised seat on hole 6 and the pot bunkers on hole 9.
The “river landscape” on hole 8 is unique. Not to mention the signature hole, the Keiler, hole 11.
