What a nice surprise

Great surprise. That is how I would describe my experience and start my review. Like every year we were on our trip to Adamstal and as following course this year we choose Enzesfeld.
Arriving to here you will thing for a while that you are lost. There is few signs to keep you believe that you are on right road. Once you enter the property it will open to you. Good view to driving range, entering and closing hole and also the clubhouse. Parking lot next to it. Everything there is right in one spot, only what Im missing is accommodation on course. I want to stay overnight in this calm and nice place with full off positive energy and relaxation.
I would like to highlight very professional, smiling and helpful stuff at reception. Its not very common these days, but they were very helpful. Thank you. Also you can get you logo ball if you collecting and also god bless they have birdie cards, thumbs up for that.
No to the course. Opening hole does not say anything about beauty of this course. It starts on hole #3. Great wide fairways with many interesting shots. Difficult for me to say what would be the signature hole, but I love back nine than front. Course is very challenging. I also have to admit we were lucky to see it green, since I have info from few fiends that it was dry last time and hard. We seen it green and soft. Yes fairways could be in better quality but for the price charged and scenery its worth to come. Greens were the best parts and that is what makes the game.
Thank you for the great experience, Enzesfeld golf, we will definitely come back soon.

Place top - gastronomy good

The slogan on the large board just before the access road to the golf course sums up the character pretty well: "Welcome to another world". The somewhat bumpy approach through the forest lets you really immerse yourself in another world... in which the hoped-for golf course actually appears... in the middle of the forest!! So the location is fantastic!

Some of the tracks are relatively carefully cut into the forest, which is why the game requires more accuracy than distance... especially on a few hanging tracks.
Tees, fairways, greens - impeccable! Overall, the place makes a very neat impression.

The friendly reception and the pro shop in the secretariat left nothing to be desired for me. The food on the fully occupied clubhouse terrace was simple but good (great view by the way!).
I'll be back for sure!!

Currently no

Dry, rock-hard, brown partly bare earth, the fairways steep uphill / downhill to play blindly while hanging heavily, nothing more is to be said.

Golf course good, gastronomy catastrophic

To sum it up in a nutshell:
The golf course is beautiful, challenging to play and the club members we meet are all very friendly.
Only the gastronomy spoils the otherwise beautiful day of golf.
As a guest you are obviously deliberately ignored. The gastro chef as well as the employee, the trainee and the intern walked past our table several times without looking at us. After the boss asked club members at two neighboring tables whether everything was okay and then ignored us again, the time had come for us to leave.
Guests at the next table were probably amazed and wanted to convey in a friendly manner. For us, however, the time for this was exceeded and we left the place.
So the bottom line is that we have played this course once and will certainly not repeat it.
Neither. It's actually a shame, it just isn't.

Played for the first time

We went to this golf course for the first time in July 2021 based on a recommendation and are already looking forward to the next time.
Although the course has presented itself very dry this summer and the greens have been very slow, we will be back.
Interesting, unusual fairways that you should know in order to really play them optimally.
The course is completely embedded in a wooded area and is accordingly quiet. What will definitely be remembered very positively is the very friendly welcome, friendly members, the nice service in the gastronomy and the beautiful terrace with an optimal view for the accompanying sundowner. THAT also makes for a good overall experience.

Beautiful landscape, but...

... ..the place was so hard that it was pretty unfair. The hanging fairways let the ball quickly disappear into the undergrowth, as the fairways were extremely hard and partly burned. Greens unfortunately slow and bumpy. Fairways interesting and varied, you have to play the course several times to make the right decisions.
The place is very scenic, no car noise bothers.
For me the most interesting hole was the 10, a short par 5 with 448 m, with a good tee shot the green can be reached with the second shot in these hard space conditions.
Secretariat very friendly!

Great

The GC Enzesfeld excited me. Even when exiting the parking lot, the first impression was just fine.

The reception at the Secretariat was then warmly, which made the good mood even better.

The place is gorgeous. Almost always played in a forest clearing, the hilly terrain allows many elevated tees, which I personally like very much. Enzesfeld is certainly not an easy place, but he's fair. The environment contributes in its own way to the fact that the game of golf is just an experience.

Yes, the terrain is hilly, which brings inclinations with themselves. Those who do not like the place should not play. Me personally does not bother, because hilly places it most - like Enzesfeld - have a nice environment, which outweigh easy.

The only drawback is the speed of the greens. I read on the home page, that they can not be faster due to the lawn conditions. It bothers anyway, with such a top system simply expects fast greens.

This is us but certainly not prevent it from coming back. I have played this year about 15 courses and Enzesfeld is with me just behind Adamstal on the 2nd place.

Just wonderful

We play with friends 1-2x per year course in Enzesfeld and can only say: chapeau! The course itself is never boring, always holds surprises and if you reasonably strategically plays clever, you can to score well. Of course, everything is weird and never one stands straight and darn much forest stands in the way. Man playing over small ravines, often stands high above the track - very sexy. Admirable the course maintenance that is really good. Add to that a very nice clubhouse and a very nice reception. If you do not shy away from the road - go! It pays off.

Place in the rest position / skew

Golf: If you leave the clubhouse, you again enjoy flat ground under their feet - it will be the last for a long period time. The course runs along corridors in there, at the end usually wait difficult hanging or stages greens.

Place Condition: Good - into the underbrush off the fairways you should not come however.

Conclusion:. For my taste too many slopes Good beats are often punished by hanging fairways (especially on the back nine). Anyone looking for a round in a quiet and beautiful environment, but not is wrong with this place.

A real treat

With the careful Anpasssungen few years ago, the course design has been improved again. The holes are perfectly adapted to the landscape. It plays almost any web itself without looking at or is obstructed by fairways. As alpine space are flat ball layers rather the exception.

As some haircuts are blind played and sometimes roll away laterally by the slopes of the ball after the advent, you have to play the course at least 2x. The care is perfect and the greens are playable. Sometimes the breaks are stronger than you think. We should on foot and in condition to be.

Conclusion: The location ensures a relaxing day of golf and is especially in autumn and visually a blast. After the round, necessarily the Club Restaurant.

Scenic sensational

To play this course In glorious weather makes them special pleasure. However beautiful fairways in sensational scenery, the drawback was that just before aerifizierten Greens and the partly unfair, hanging fairways.
A fairway would highlight unfair since all are very beautiful from the layout.
Secretariat and restaurant was very good and extremely friendly

Super nice, but also super tough

At some point, someone came up with the idea, far out of the way to cut there a golf course in the middle of the forest - and then this idea has been implemented yet perfect...! Compliment!

The golf course is very well signposted from Enzesfeld-Linda Brunn. From the western end of the village a narrow private road leads unending 4 km up to the golf course. And there one meets on a golfers paradise in total peace. Apart from occasional aircraft noise or on or departing golfers almost total silence. Wunderbar! Even "Fore" calls are quite rare - the cars are usually well separated.

The entire plant is exemplary maintained and signposted. There's nothing to complain about. This is true for tees, fairways and also for the greens. The often increased and offset applied tee boxes can be reached by modern and secure aluminum stairs with handrail. Toll and made sure!

Despite the overall positive impressions only Enzesfeld scars over in my judgment, short of the 5 stars. This is primarily because simply I do not like very hilly / mountainous golf courses - and Enzesfeld is sometimes extremely steep and strenuous!! And if mountainy, then please properly as in St. Vigil Siusi / Castelrotto. There you have in exciting terrain then also spectacular, unforgettable tracks.

Conclusion: Geiler place, one of the most beautiful landscape I know, but for my taste but then too steep and mountainous.

One of the most beautiful and best maintained golf courses in Austria.
reminds me quite strongly of Adamstal. only here, they have a real driving range. everything was very neat. what would not bother, some would be water cooler. but so stingy many golf courses. 4 * +

6 stars for Enzesfeld!

We played the course in late April 2014. The course was in excellent condition. Tees, fairways and greens were perfect, even though it had rained until early afternoon!

The site offers "for golfers" some challenges. Long, narrow and partly hilly fairways demand accurate play, if you want to achieve a decent score.

We ran the hilly course and, despite the effort just enjoyed it. The course is completely offside in the forest on a hill. During the drive you wonder briefly whether there actually may still come a golf course? The layout is incredible and perfectly integrated into the beautiful countryside. It must have been a brilliant creative person who could imagine a golf course in this area and that too has realized! Absolutely unique!

The staff at the registration were very friendly, courteous and helpful. So you want it! Absolute hurray!

The restaurant completes the picture! Nice service and excellent quality at decent prices.

Conclusion: This is by far the nicest place we have played so far (and there are certainly more than 50 seats). Just a pity that we have over 4 hours of travel time, otherwise we would be here members! If we are in the area, we will play this course definitely be back!

Among the best

On which I was allowed to play until today. -34 HCP for a real challenge, especially in a summer with board hanging hard fairways and uncontrollable always bouncing into the woods... But the place is wonderfully maintained, people are all very friendly and very helpful. The cuisine excellent. Total over 3 years now for me consistently at a very high level. Bravo.
