The fairways are very wide and forgiving. The place looks very open and some tracks are on a busy road. The problems start with the approaches to the greens, as these are mostly extremely well defended hill greens. You should either be able to play backspin or have an excellent bunker game, because you can no longer see the green and the flag on it from the bunkers. The condition was appropriate for the season. However, some fairways were on first cut length.
You can have a drink in the pro shop on site. The prices here were moderate.
The showers and changing rooms are located in the basement of the chateau. There are towels at the extremely friendly reception.

Again and again, is a look at the unique Burgundian countryside and the medieval castle, so you repeatedly have to concentrate on the game itself. And concentration is called for, but the place is not easy to play. The varied fairways with plenty of water and quite tricky placed bunkers require precise and tactically clever game. And the price reductions on old boundary walls require quite a bit of courage! Last but not least: In the castle itself it can stay gorgeous and excellent food. The whole thing may be priced indeed move to the upper limit, but as the saying goes: Because you deserve nothing else! Certainly, we will once again spend a few days in the Château de Chailly.
