Challenging
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 18, 2011
There is no doubt that this is a challenging course. Natural obstacles creates intrigues sought after. Sometimes fairways are not in the best shapes, many times due to wild boares. Overall an experience to be made.

Yellow/Blue - beautiful and tricky in places
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 22, 2024
Reception was very friendly, they spoke English and French.
Each hole is hilly, just as the entire course is hilly; carts are widely used.
The course is in good condition, although the fairways have a lot of weeds and the semi-rough is quite high, making it difficult to find the ball. We were told that this is normal in the region.
What was annoying, however, was that we weren't given anything to eat or drink after the round, as the only restaurant available was the one that didn't open until 8pm! We returned to the car with growling stomachs! There was nothing around either.

Solid parkland
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 7, 2024
Played mid-April 2024, HCP 16
We played the course combination "Giallo / Blu". Very open, slightly hilly parkland - hardly any trees to interfere with the game. "Giallo" (Lago) offers a lot of water - large ponds to the right and left, but also lots of ditches that meander across the FWs. "Blu" (Castello) is much "drier".
The landscape is quite nice, but there are no notable highlights such as spectacular mountains or sea views. Unfortunately, some overland power lines often spoil the look.
The course is far away from busy roads or other sources of noise - however, noise from busy greenkeepers is to be expected. However, this is also rewarded with very well-maintained greens, fairways and tees.
The quality of the bunkers is in stark contrast to this - there is far too little loose sand, and it often feels like playing on concrete. Urgent need for maintenance!
The semi-rough is also really bad - even right next to the fairway you have to search for the ball, as you would elsewhere only in the deep hard rough. If you find the ball, it is usually playable, only rarely can you just hack it out.
The courses are quite varied, there are some spectacular (difficult) holes. In general, the greatest difficulty lies in the combination of length (approx. 6,100 from the regular yellow tees) and the horrible (semi-) rough. On “Lago” you are also often faced with tricky strategic decisions - overcome a water hazard with a killer shot, or is it better to “just” lay up (?).
The greens are not overly fast - moderately undulating, often "two-tiered", i.e. with a larger wave in the putting area.
The paths between the courses are not too long, but there are a few ups and downs - if you don't like it too sporty, it's better to take a cart.
Worth mentioning is the very friendly and competent reception in the secretariat with good instructions for first-time players with all the necessary information (where to find the cart, range, 1st tee, changing rooms, etc.).
Weak, however: Between 14:00 and 19:30 the restaurant only offers drinks and dry white bread with cooked ham and cheese.
NB: We were also booked for the third 9 holes "Rosso" (Old Course) for our second round. However, the secretary advised us against it and we were allowed to play "Giallo/Blu" again. The "Old Course" turned out to be a very short course (2,325m, 6* Par4,3* Par3, no Par5). As far as we could see, the fairways are very close together, the whole course seemed more brown than green and hardly bigger than a decent football stadium (you can see the whole thing in one glance).
Conclusion: In the combination “Giallo / Blu” a solid course that you can play, but don’t necessarily have to. A good 3 stars (In the “Golf Bear Ranking”: 6 out of 10 points.)

Great golf courses!
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 15, 2023
The Championship Course (Yellow & Blue) is a top designed course!
It's really fun to play. Everything is completely mowed, the greens were great!
The 9-hole Old Course (Red) has also been completely redesigned and is only slightly inferior to the Champion Course!
The price-performance ratio with the Golf & More app for 27 holes with buggy is almost unbelievable, €45!!!
Clear 4 stars!

Nice place, but unfortunately...
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 13, 2022
We played the course today and it was in better shape than last year. Reception and gastronomy very friendly. But unfortunately in the parking lot TARGETED GERMAN CARS were scratched with the key over the whole side!! German guests are probably not so welcome after all!

Challenging and unfortunately not well cared for
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 24, 2021
First of all: If you don't know the place, there are many problems waiting because you see many obstacles too late and the ball is gone. I had the round of my life when I was 12+, but I was very lucky. The course is really difficult, requires strategic play and precise strokes. Greens are great, the rest of the course maintenance so-so. If you play the course several times, you feel noticeably easier. It is a pity that there is a construction site all around, but a real failure that there are neither toilets nor lightning protection at the place. And the board with the hole graphics is so yellowed that you can hardly see anything on it. Overall: If you are resistant to frustration and are looking for a challenge, this is the right place...

Orderly
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 6, 2020
At the beginning of Oct. 20 played Nice journey through the vineyards.
Friendly modern reception place is neatly maintained, but nothing more.
Offers something for everyone.
Unstressed ambience.
Missing distance markings here too. The restaurant offers little. They only had focaccia to choose from for the round. When we got off the circuit at 3 p.m., the kitchen was closed. But friendly service, the waiter tried hard and scraped together what he had.
good cozy golf day

Sprawling parkland course
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 16, 2019
Wide fairways, fast greens and everything very well maintained (summer 2019). Spacious facility, you are virtually alone on the road. In addition, a nice little terrace with cold beer. Watch out!

A challenge
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 5, 2019
... is this place anyway. Do not be frustrated if you are playing it for the first time and are quite far away from your HCP. Without knowledge of space you will often find yourself in trouble and give away valuable blows. But the course offers everything that a golfer appreciates and fears: water, gorges, deepest rough, bunkers where you can not use them... After the round you are exhausted and happy, go to the nice golf restaurant and get authentic, simple Kitchen and fine beer. Should you have played twice.

Fun in nature
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 2, 2018
It is not much better. Played on a Friday afternoon at the end of May. Practically alone in the square. Fast greens, very well-maintained fairways that are in a somewhat "wild" nature. Exciting tracks that use the terrain well and alternate between full attack with the driver and a bit more tactical play. For the price worth a detour anyway.

Sporty us varied place
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 1, 2018
We (HCP -10 and -24) played the course in October after 6 months of rain-free time. Good condition with excellent greens. Very pleasant play during the week and weekend despite tournament. The course is very varied and requires a long and precise game. Secretariat is very friendly and the food was highly recommended. We are happy to come back.

Advisable
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 4, 2015
The place is still been the end of October in a very good condition; the Greens were unique. The place was less crowded (on a Monday) and had been partly the feeling to be alone with the birds.
At aperitif after Speil in the clubhouse we have very nice talk with the bar manager, who has recommended us restaurants in the region.
We like to come back. The price-performance ratio was right.

Sporty sophisticated
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed April 23, 2014
When: Early April 2014 Weather: sunshine Place: Parkland Course, mature trees, at 14 of 18 holes water comes into play. A challenge depending on the wind the reduction of white on the 6th hole over the pond. Hole 7 is due to the two-time stream run only tactically to crack.
Fairways: Good to sehrgut. Grass close up and well grown. Nursing top condition, also thanks to the mild winter.
Semi-rough: tight, fast losing possession possible.
Greens: Airifiziert and sanded (usual work around this season) but almost no longer wahrnembar. Nevertheless, well playable, hard and fast.
This place is my No because of his athletic claim. 1 in the region around Asti.
