Played in April 22 on WE. As a player from the Münsterland, who knows flat areas, the course with its steep climbs and inclines takes some getting used to. If you like scrambling like the chamois, this is the place for you. It's not my case. The landing zone of the ball is often not visible because you have to play over hilltops and as a guest you never really know what to expect behind it or where the ball is. I don't like that either, as it makes controlled golf very difficult. The place was well maintained, but the greens were spiked and sanded. Accurate putting was impossible. After a company outing nearby we decided spontaneously for this place without much advance information. As it turned out, we had done everything right. Super nice and attentive reception in the club secretary. Also, not self-evident guests on the weekend to let the place. No start times and a very relaxed atmosphere on the pitch. And this place has it all and demands a good condition from the topography. We had waived a cart anyway. The tracks quite challenging with some surprising challenges, just by many "blind" layers and slopes on which the ball like to roll back to the player. Fairways and greens - despite the heat period - in decent condition. That greens are a bit dull, does not stay there. But beautiful nature experience with varied planting, animal enclosures, sunflower plantations and beautiful views of the countryside. If the nature is then too much, can in between even rub insect repellent - great attention.
Back on the terrace at the clubhouse you know what you did. We were really flat, but happy. This place will see us again, so must be golf. Other places could cut a slice here in almost every way.
