Amazing woodland course, a true classic.

Truly one of the most beautiful courses i played in Germany. A classic woodland course where all fairways a lined by old and tall trees, the whole course was cut into the forest decades ago. The atmosphere was amazing since the course feels like it has always been there.
The fairways are wide enough but don´t take chances if you are not a straight hitter. Balls leaving the fairway will easily find there ways deep into the trees. It becomes a true test if you play it off the white tees so it´s not a short course.
Again, the overall atmosphere ia amazing and the people we met where all very welcoming. If you´re visiting Nuremberg make sure to stop by.

Boring place. No signature holes. Very long and tight. But in very bad condition: tees, fairways and greens. Really miserable. How can something like that be a Leading Course? I played on the Transit a 9 hole Feierabendrunde on the back nine, but as each course was a path through high forest. Inaccurate or laterally warped beats often end up in the dense forest / undergrowth and quickly one needs one or two extra bounce back at ''s Fairway. In other words: Lanes forgive little mistakes.
The place is wonderfully integrated with nature, everything is very well maintained. The greens were in early April already in excellent condition, though still mowed relatively high and therefore slow as the fairways. But I've played it day near another place, since the care status was not nearly as good. Speaks for Greenkeeper team!
The clubhouse and restaurant I have not visited, only the application. There was very friendly and accommodating. The building and the exercise equipment in front were very tidy and with attention to detail. Very pleasant was that you could get started without starting times - and an absolutely acceptable price!
Am Reichswald I felt comfortable and I'm sure at some point even the front nine play - but no pretending effective tournament ;-)
